In my honest opinion, the Philippines is, and always will be, the Pearl of the Orient Sea.

Philippines, had it not been to corruption, dysfunctional national psyche, and hopelessness, we could have continued our status being one of the prime economies in Asia.

We have the resources to effectively sustain our growth but because of economic mismanagement, and the Filipino divisive and rebellious attitude, the internal problems of the Filipinos became severe, it is now so ramified, it is so difficult to cure it.

It's like saying, if China is the sleeping giant (and now, awake and slowly standing up), the Philippines is the sick Tiger. It can devour and prey, but its beside the bunk, wallowing in pain, pestered by flies on the wound, and being licked by maggots.

WE need to stand, unite. Help each other. Do our duties as citizen. Believe that we can do it, pressure the government for a more meaning reforms, and pressure ourselves to do our part to help the country. its not too late...just as the same, I love this country.

I am married to a Filipina and we have been to the Philippines twice over the last five years. The people are very family oriented which attracted me to this country. I wish America was the same. Unfortunately, the political corruption is destroying the spirit of the Philippines. They need to find an honest politician...

The sun is shining but there are no birds singing. The people are very poor but still smiling. The government is corrupt. The islands are beautiful. So much work for Filipino people to do to improve their paradise.

Honestly, its sad that the country is struggling, surrounded with too many problems that are too difficult to handle, inspite of natural resources it got. Every citizen has to wake up and embrass the reality that the country is struggling and do something about it in order to have a good quality of life.

I think its ridiculously awesome... It might have its flaws and not really great living conditions in some areas but what country doesn't?
Overall, the ppl are friendly and you don't have to go far to go to the beach so its all good : )

I Love it my wife lives thier.People so nice.Wish goverment would supply more jobs for people.Makes me sad wnen I vist.Was thier 3 times last year.Be thier next week.Makes me mad that they don,t try to help people.I think every person thier wants to work.I don,t know the answer.But I know people thier have God in thier heart.Thats what impressed me.Iam from america.Fhilippines people most gratefull & loving..

It is a great place to retire from if you have a retirement income from another country. The people are friendly.

The country needs alot of improvement.

Very nice people . Too overcrowded , and not enough jobs for people ! Hard workers . I think its a little stange that so many drivers cannot drive without their horn ; they seem to be saying " Notice me and my great driving skills "

i love the country and the people in general. i think the Philippines has alot of potential to grow and make it big, it just breaks my heart seeing poor people suffer and go hungry while the government TRY to do something. the Philippines is such a beautiful country and it can rise its ground if every single Filipino would have the same love as me. (not being offensive or anything, cause I'm sure all Filipinos do love their country. BUT what exactly are you doing????..yea, that's right! get your lazy butt out of that chair and stop watching youtube or porn and make a difference!)

Well, if you are in other country you might miss everything from Philippines like your families, friends, eating together etc,. There are lot differences between Philippines and America/other country. For me, Philiippines is OK. I heard many things that happened there like "accidents" "killed" well it depends on you.

It is still a great country in spite of everything (especially corruptions.) Yeah, aside from traveling to the 7,107 islands in the Philippines you will experience the unique charm of my historic land. People are naturally warm, friendly and hospitable.
My country is rich of culture & history, then you will discover more pristine white beaches, rainforests, mangroves, corals, marine sanctuaries & so much more. Then the Philippines is the world's third largest English-speaking country after the UK & the US then Philippines is the largest Christian country in Asia.... <*-*>
