Although it is an underestimated country, because of governmental corruptions, and noted as a third world country, I would still say that the Philippines is a wonderful country....
A country of mixtures and blended in terms of cultures, traditions, languages, cuisines, races, and religions...
It is made up of more than 7,000 beautifully amazing islands...
Very rich in both history and culture...
It is inhabited by beautiful, exotic, intelligent, industrious, and hospitable people... |

ok place, 90% of Filipinos will claim to have Spanish blood somewhere down the line even though genetic studies have proven that only roughly 2% have any European blood in them at all.
this question has been asked about a hundred times.
check out how many thumbs down i will get for revealing that fact to people. If you want proof just search the net and the blood don't lie. |

aaah...the philippines..ive been looking around Yahoo Answers in Asia and, though it seems that the Philipines is always badly represented in international news (even in their local news would u believe), other Asian countries, who are doing far better in media, seem to also be having problems dealing with their day to day lives. in short, people in the philippines should be grateful in so many ways. and stop blaming their government. other countries are doing far worse but they have long LEARNED NOT to depend on the govenment. they have moved forward and have left the philippines behind. filipinos should help themselves. physically, she's a beautiful country, but unfortunatley her reputation seems to be as tarnished as a gorgeous girl with bad odor. too bad. LEARN people! |

As a people, I love it, would even consider living there. As a the land goes, very volitile (earthquakes, volcanos, mud slides, typhons). As far as the government, the nonviolent coups arent working, but the same could be said for the U.S. also. Filipinos are kind of lazy when it comes to civic duty, they'll vote for who ever gives them a couple of pesos. Filipino politicians need to be shot and actors need to be barred from running for office (except maybe for Willie Villaren) sp. Filipinos who migrate to the U.S. need to think about what their doing and why. They come over here and start flying the Phil. flag and being so proud of the Phils. If the Phils are so great, then why arent they still there? Cities? Manila stinks on ice, so does most of S. Luzan, except for the taal area. Cebu is heaven on earth, except for Cebu City (mini Manila). The Phils. need to get a handle on the muslim problem, either give them some islands S. of Mindanao or subdue them, just get them to stop killing people. All in all, I think the Phils are great, as long as you have money. If you dont have money, then the place sucks to high heaven.
Seriously, the Phils is drastically under rated, because it is under developed. The Phils has a lot of potential, if you could only get your government in descent order. |

It is still a great country in spite of everything (especially corruptions.) Yeah, aside from traveling to the 7,107 islands in the Philippines you will experience the unique charm of my historic land. People are naturally warm, friendly and hospitable.
My country is rich of culture & history, then you will discover more pristine white beaches, rain forests, mangroves, corals, marine sanctuaries & so much more. Then the Philippines is the world's third largest English-speaking country after the UK & the US then Philippines is the largest Christian country in Asia.... <*-*> |

Philippines is such a beautiful place to live in. If all the citizens, especially the pro and anti administration public servants will unite, we can achieve what we want for our country...we will progress as a nation and there will be no reason for more of our fellows to go abroad and find their fate in foreign lands. |

Well Jason to be honest with you I don't really think about the Philippines at all.
My opinion would come from what I've heard in the media.
3rd world, Spanish influence, Roman Catholics and Islamic terrorists. That's pretty much all I know. |
