People today do what they want when they want. No respect for anyone or anything. That's why. |

both my parents are flight attendants.
its because people have been sitting for so long, when they realize that they're almost there, they get super impatient.
its annoying whenever im on the plane and someone starts standing up.
JUST DONT DO IT!lol |

People are really stupid. I've seen them stand in the aisle for 20 minutes waiting to get off. 'Figure |

idiots wanting to be the first ones out of the plane. I say let them. Let them be the first ones to go flying through the aisle or bash their head on the overhead bins. Heck, that would just make the whole crappy plane ride feel like a candy walk to see an idiot get hit. ;o) |

Thats easy. It means that they don't have an automatic locking system on the passengers seat belts yet. |

because they're stubborn... |

It means to please remain seated. |

They also tell not to stand up while the seat belt sign is lit...people do it anyway. Just stupid people who don't take the safety percautions seriousely. |

They want to be the first waiting to pick there bags up. when probably their bag the last one off. whats the hurry to get off anyway. why not relax rather than having to stand and wait for your bag for the next 20mins. it will be the first ones that moan about a sprain if the plane has to brake suddenly. |

I have traveled all over the world for many years. Filipinos are the only people who behave that way. Not a slam on Filipinos, it's just what I observe. Also when they say "now boarding rows 10 thru 15" Filipinos only hear the words "now boarding" so the line looks like 963 people are sitting in these 5 rows.
It's like those lines and arrows painted on the streets. They are apparently only suggestions. |

people stand up because they are either rude and not listening to the flight attendant or are rude and dont think the safety rules apply to them. what makes them act like that though, i dont know |

Those that do are in a hurry to get out. Maybe they have to catch an appointment or a connecting flight or a secret government agent is after them.
Or maybe the person next to them stinks. |
|

They are just in a hurry to get off the plane to catch their appointment on time. |

They've probably been on many flights, and know that nothing will happen if they stand up. And they don't like following rules. |

it makes no sense, people panic and do what they want anyway. |

the cabin crew are required by airline law to inform people of the rule which is you must remain seated during the taxi on the runway though as you and i both know its not dangerous but sometimes it is inforced |

passengers just stand up thinking that they'll be off the plane first.
as for the instructions. i believe it has a lot to do with the aircraft's mass and balance. it's not exactly like jumping inside a car but those airlines just want to be on the safe side of things and make sure the aircraft's center of gravity is optimal on the ground where it isn't designed to move as well as cars. everything on the safety instructions has a purpose.
as a 2nd generation pilot flying as a passenger, it bothers me to see a lot of people treat flying commercial planes like riding a bus. it's not okay to stand and walk around when the plane is airborne and not yet established straight and level... and it's annoying for a pilot to hear the sound of cellphone signals over the radio whenever he/she is communicating with air traffic control... there's a certain etiquette that has to be followed in principle when riding planes. |

It happens everywhere. Passengers don't take precautions and warnings seriously. |

people that ride planes alot know that they are paid to say that. its not THAT big of a deal that you sit down till its completely stopped. as long as its on the ground and you feel safe to stand, go for it. whatever |
