I love Filipino movies!!! And I dont understand why some think that its corny and crappy to watch Tagalog flicks. But its their choice anyway. I enjoy it a lot.=D
The the least that I like were those made in the 90's. When the "massacre" flicks were IN! Still watched them, but those are the movies that are only good in one viewing. Didnt bother watching it again...unlike the rest.

I like Mano Po. And Manay Po.=P |

Wow, such hatred... I do love Mano Po and Madrasta. While they don't mirror my life, they were really touching. I hate Lastikman. For the record I don't really watch a lot of Tagalog movies so there is few to hate.
Oh yeah, KC isn't really a strong actress but she's beautiful, it sells. Nevertheless it does not make me "hate" them. You might want to tone it down to "dislike". |

Yeah I hate those movies that "encourage" the youg actors to do pa-cute things and fake tears and acting.
And I also hate those "sci-fi" local movies because the costumes are obviously fake. Sorry, just an opinion. Didn't mean anything else. Maybe it's time to make things better, huh? |

WHEN LOVE BEGINS.
It was probably the worst and the most sickening Filipino movie I have had to watch!
Atrocious, it was! :|
No offense to the people who liked it, of course. |

ENTENG KABISOTE FTW LOL
And those corny Sandara Park movies. She should be ashamed of herself! Coming here and destroying the movie industry of the Philippines. THAT WENCH! Oh well, it wasn't that grand to begin with. Those chick flick movies we have, like the ones by JOLINA MAGDANGAL or Judy Ann Santos or by Christine Hermosa. Good Lord, I'd rather read a phone book than watch those. |

When I'm here in the Philippines, I don't watch Filipino movies very often not because I hate them, it's because sometimes it's not worth it.
I hate:
For The First Time - KC and Richard didn't act so good in the movie, and the movie is not realistic and is very predictable.
When Love Begins - I really didn't like the plot of the story.
I agree with you, I really didn't like Mano Po ever since. It's really melodramatic (i've seen it when it was first shown) and I don't like it. The story is very typical.
I would very much like For The First Time if KC's parents would be there. |

Before I say what I really hate the most, I would like to come to the aid of "When Love Begins" and "For the First Time".
In the first, (not the First Time), Anne Curtis's behind was never so attractive! In the second, which is actually The First Time, never mind the acting! KC's front view is magnificent!
Now, back to the main question.
What I really hate the most is when there is rape scene, and then, from out of the blue, the hero has to appear and stop it all. What a letdown! |

I hate majority of Filipino movies. Its doesnt depict reality and very predictable! I'd rather watch documentaries and indie films... for me to be more socially aware. Its sad that korean movies are way better than our movies... not to mention koreanovelas too. |

I'm Filipino yet I never liked tagalog movies. Ever.
The last time I watched a tagalog movie deliberately on the big screen was almost 10 years ago, and that was only because I was going out with this girl that I loved.
If we Filipinos want an Oscar, then our directors and scriptwriters should graduate from our rich vs. poor, all about love, plagiarized, and very predictable way of making movies and shows. |
