A Worshiper of JAH
|
I'd like 2 tell of my good deeds, but I feel I'll just be elevating myself. I can't help but, think of a certain Scriptual text that goes like this, hang on lemme go find it.....
I can't find it, sooo it went something like this:
Why is it you should be commended when you
only did what was expected of you.
Wish I could have found it.
I work @ being acceptable to my God.
I work @ being a better wife.
I tell others of the "good things to come."
I am doing what is expected of me.
Of, course we (mankind) like the praise, pat,
the acknowledgemant of a job well done.
I like receiving best answer, but,
even more I enjoy helping others, teaching.
I enjoy when other ppl recognize my efforts,
it shows that I'm not some dim-wit,
w/ nothing but, twaddle to offer.
+ it's shows me that I have indeed
found the sayings of everlasting life.
Praise JAH You People!! |

...Passersby don't seem to help instead they just watch,
so I bought the bloodied old man who fell face down on the streets to a nearby hospital and took care of him till i got someone looking for him.
I found out He's 85 yrs old and just had a mild stroke while walking. his face needed 12 stitches because of the glasses he was wearing which was now broken and tore his facial skin.
I was only 10 steps to school that time but I missed my special exams to make up for my low grades in order to graduate that year.
After the relatives have claimed their granpa, it wasalready 8pm, I went to a dark corner and tears roll down my face for I knew i wouldn't graduate that year with my friends..
.. but I never regreted what i did for the old man. |

I try and help people anyway I can and on Y!As I give serious answers and give good advice. I love to help people get to know God and I love my family. Of course I can be funny when there is a chance but if I can help then I do.
Jason you're a star. You dont need an exam to prove what a good guy you are.
Go talk to the school about what happened Im sure they will let you retake the exam some other time. |

When everything that you think, do or say is about lifting others up and not putting them down.
If you put others' feelings ahead of yours.
And when you have accepted the fact that you cannot be perfect, that you cannot do everything yourself and that there must be a God. Then I believe that you deserve a pat on the cheek not because of what you do but because of what you cannot do.
To Bambi
It might be a passage from the Book of Luke that goes something like this:
So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, 'We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.' " |

A friend and I were going somewhere in his car and he was driving;he stopped at the cross walk to let someone walk across and when they passed us he said "would you look at that, they didn't even say thank you" I replied, is that why you let them pass, to receive a thank you, or did you let them pass because you were just being kind?
With that said, I too, like Bambi don't tell of my good deeds. |

I'd have to say that I don't elevate myself higher than God, he is the one who deserves to tell all the good he has done for mankind. but I will tell you that I have done good by telling ones about God and his purpose for the earth, and also I try to be a good person at all times and I like helping people whether that be by telling good news of the kingdom or by just helping them with an everyday task or something that is difficult. |

Anna, I have Answered your Question.
Don't I deserve a good pat on the cheek, for this good deed - by which I have surely accomplished something worthwhile ?
:-))
...I'll even settle for a Best Answer award, okay dear ?! |

Annabelle,That's a lovely name ,---like some I can be here a year almost doing a list, however in the things I did I only should have done.Have saved lives ,found people who were lost way back in the country,no skin off my nose it was kind of easy and exciting for me anyhow at the times. Some say that that if I wanted to get paid back,I would have to be in trouble for the next 20 years.Hope that don't come true--lol --Jayson's story took a piece out of me though, proving that there are many good hearts out there and the Creator and his son Jesus won't forget them in the comming resurection if need be. |

If someone does something bad you turn the other cheek not to follow the bad. If you see something good you turn the cheeck to follow the good influence. As a JW I try to follow others while studying. I'm not baptized yet studying and putting on Jehovahs personality is what I need. Then Baptism. |

Jason: is this true? if it was then you could have asked the man or a relative of his to vouch why you were not able to take the exam. if that was the case then the school would have allowed you to take the exam. i just don't believe that a person would just sit back knowing he wouldn't graduate on time because he missed an exam for helping someone. somethings not right here.. hmm... |

Didn't get pissed at my daughter for crashing my Buick. I'm not dumb enough to let her drive my Enclave, but she stole my keys in the middle of the night. |

Gave a P300 cash donation to a local elderly poor man who's wife has TB twards meds. I know that's not a fortune but the kuriput neighbour that owns much of the property around here gave my niece (baranguay sk) a whopping P 50 and complained about it. |

I don't like people touching me and getting all up in my personal space. So keep your good pat to yourself. Thank you very much. |
