wait...if you don't know what Malaysia is, how come you know where to ask about it? Travel>Asia Pacific>Malaysia...which clearly shows you know what Malaysia is...

If you are asking in terms of terminology, the name Malaysia originated from the word 'Malay', which bears the meaning 'Mountain' in Sanskrit.

It is an old word used to describe the region surrounding the peninsular (though it wasn't named 'Malaya' back then). Just as the Himalayan region, it is a name made up of two words: Hima (Snow) and Malay (Mountain).

There are also Chinese words (which can be quite possibly used during ancient times) to describe the inhabitants of this region as 'mountain people'.

The name 'Malaysia' came to term in 1963 when Singapore, Sabah and Sarawak formed a 14-state federation.

My father came from China to work and live in Malaysia. He came on his free wish, but I was not. It was not my intention to live in Malaysia. I was born here without my approval.

After I grew up only I realized that the Melays people have a kind of privilege which violated the non-Melays rights. They enjoy privilege In education(Melays stream into special classes enable easy access to Universities, even a university named MARA is wholly Melays, a quota system in universities admission, restricting number of non-Melays in universities) home owning (paying 15 percent less), business.

And they even spurted out whoever not happy with this system may just leave this country, it is so cruel of them. My true parents will never chase me out of their home. They are just treating us like some sort of money making machines.
