when there's an accident on the road, other motorists will slow down to watch, including those on the opposite lanes and this can cause heavy traffic congestion on both lanes
-edit-
not only in malaysia people using hands but you can find them in Indonesia, india, bangladesh too but this not a habit, it's just one of many methods of eating |

Talking about eating with ONE hand, do you know they can only eat with one 'standard' hand?
The other hand is for ......
(please ask around and you will get another interesting habit!) |

By the way, Malaysians like picking their noses while being stuck in the traffic. Hehehe... |

Malaysian like to ask about the cost of things you wear or own.
e.g. If they see you wear a nice watch they'll say:"That's a nice watch, how much did you buy it for?"
Malaysian like to add "lah" at the end of their sentence.
e.g. "OKlah", "go-lah", "Don't lah", "Please lah"... etc... normally to emphasize something.
Malaysian like to park their car everywhere that is convenient, irregardless whether it's a parking space or not.
Malaysian like to take off their shoes when entering their home, and they expect their guest to do the same. Not really unique though, as the Japanese do that also.
I bet there're more but it's so "normal" to us that we didn't realize that they were unique in Malaysia. |

I 'third' Bo$$ and Teddy. Most of the time you thought there was a long trailer collapsed on the road that caused the heavy traffic jammed only to find out 1 hour later that they were motorists slowing down to 'look look' at the kancil, and the kancil not even 'on the road'. |
