broken heart would be easier to mend, no one can live without a goal, or in other words dream... but we all know that we could live without lovers, partners in life, that's what you call being "single" |

My heart has never beat for someone yet so I can't answer from experience. I can only blah from my mind, my feelings, and from other people's experiences. But in fairness allan you made me dig deeper into my mind and heart (naks!). For me, I think it's easier to mend a broken dream. Well, I have few experiences of broken dreams--big ones!--but I'm still standing and still here, kicking butts. But if ever i'll be breaking a bigger dream in the future (knock-on-wood), at least I still have my loved ones to back me up, and to support me so I can stand up again. A broken heart on the other hand is a different subject. I think that it's hard to set aside your pride and fears (which applies to me) just to give your love wholly to someone only to be shredded into pieces by whom you thought was for sure. And I think it's something that's harder to understand by others because it was such an intimate experience. I'll go back to your question allan if ever that happens to me. |

A broken heart, I'm sure. It heals as time passes by. A broken dream is frustrating, it sometimes discourage you from going on; it lowers morale and self-esteem. One can never pick up the pieces of a broken dream. |

Wow, a lot of different views. Ok , here's mine.
For me, a broken heart is easier to mend because you will outgrow it and a new love/interest and love of God are the dosage for a broken heart.
But broken dreams.... this is not easily mended especially if you come across a situation that you are almost there to achieve it but because of the following:
1. a wrong decision or wrong timing that everything went kaput. You will continually blame yourself and will always say..."if only",
2. a person doublecross you or another person was granted the wish and not you, you will continually hate that person
and additional problems will surface from there. |

wow that's a good question.
personally, it is easier for me to get over a broken heart. it can be mended with finding a new lover, or simply being engrossed with one's own person and affairs.
getting over a broken dream is more difficult because more often, one's dreams have been with a person since childhood, and other people may be involved or depend on that dream's fulfillment. it is more difficult to re-establish or re-create a dream once it has been dissolved. |

your dream is your heart's desire. if the dream is broken, the heart needs to be mended, too. |

For me it's broken heart..once you found a new love, you forget the bitterness of the past. A broken dream is very hard to repair. Once you're dream is broken, it seems your life is also broken. |

At this point in my life, I honestly don't know. I can only hope I would be able to rebound should I have the misfortune of a broken heart or a broken dream. And I'm not naive either to believe that I will be spared from such heartaches. Geez, I need to brush up on those "how to" books to prepare myself...either that or I could always take comfort in my deep faith. |

Once an ultimate dream gets broken, your whole life seems to be broken because there isn't a clear possibility for the dreamer to gather all the pieces and become whole again... It's the dreamer who picks up all the pieces alone...
A broken heart don't need those pieces back. It naturally reborns... and you're not alone at this because someone is helping you mold that new love.. It's broken no more... |

broken dream, i think because after that you dream another dream since our endeavours as a human being is boundless, unlike a broken heart, its hard to mend it because we can only truly love a person or two or three (lol) but the memories of its pain will always be a part of us. |

A broken face (basag ang mukha). Oh, wait, that's not among the choices.
Both have their own distinct challenges. At the time that it happened (whether it be a broken heart or a broken dream), it felt as if life is not worth living.
But life goes on, and time heals wounds. There may be some scars, but the wound is closed. |

it's relative. a broken dream may be was due to a broken heart and vice versa. no one can definitely say one is easier to recover than the other because, recovering from either depends on how much and how deep it affected you. the question is, are you willing to recover from it? if you are, then recovery will be easy. the key here is the willingness to move on with life. life is measured not only with our successes but also everytime we rise from our fall. |

A broken heart is easier to mend than a broken dream because a broken dream can crush you and redefine your outlook in life. |

broken heart. Although the impact is painful at first, it does not really take that long to adapt unless the person is a loser. Anyways, broken dreams is harder to mend because it affects your whole life. |

i think a broken heart is easier to mend.
dreams (esp something that you've been trying to reach for a long time) tend to be something that is hard to recover from.
a broken heart is hard to recover from as well, however, as they say, "there are plenty of fish in the sea", you can choose to move on and find someone else to give your heart to. plus, you can work to distract yourself.
with a broken dream, the more you work, the more you're reminded of that thing you've been working so hard for yet failed to reach. |

a broken dream... because you'll have another chance to do it again... while if someone broke your heart, it's very difficult to bring back self-confidence, it will become difficult to trust and love again... it really takes time to mend a broken heart and some other cases you can't mend it at all... a broken dream gives more strong will and determination to reach that goal again |
