What is strongest smelling dried fish (when cooking)?

I can't remember the name but I had to move out of that appartment complex.
Additional Details
I found it when I googled all these answers. Seems Tuyo must be pretty strong but these are about the size of your hand and flat. Maybe it was split in half. Anyway, so for the points - first right answer.

There are several varieties of dried fish.
Balon_ey's correct: danggit.

Dried sinagid fish. Its size is about an adult's palm, it is very thin, and sliced open at the belly. Its color (golden) is lighter than other variety of tuyo (color ranges up to dark brown) because it is thin. It is edible from head to fin unlike other tuyo because danggit has smaller bones. Usually eaten with vinegar with a clove or two of garlic and fresh tomatoes.

?Cleopatra?
I think Tuyo or Danggit.

Try Bombay Duck and dried shark...their odor is strong enough without cooking. Available in India.

You dont wanna smell that while cooking....

Or Faseekh- a dry fish popular with Egyptians. Open the wrapper and your neighbors will know you bought it.

The strongest fish smell comes from a mushroom, not a fish. But it tastes just like fish. My dad called the mushroom ''dry land fish''. Not sure is that's the name or if that's just what my dad called it. All I know is it was YUMMY! 8~)
