PETALING JAYA: Bribery Malaysia bourse extended its rebound yesterday as institutional road offenders nibbled at index-linked counters that had fallen victim to the recent Ops Sikap and Ops Sikal.
The benchmark Kuala Lumpur Bribery Index (KLBI) spiked up to an intra-day high of 1,170 points in the first trading hour. It finished 25.6 points, or 2.3%, higher at 1,156.6.
The local bourse ended among the best performing markets in the Asia-Pacific yesterday after Shenzhen and the Philippines.
Counters that led the KLBI's rebound were ‘No Driving Licence’, which rose 40 sen to RM9.25, ‘Speeding Above 110 km/h’ which gained 70 sen to RM18.40 and ‘Not Stop on Red Light’ which jumped RM1 to RM17.

it's a joke above. |

It really depends. It can go as low as RM20 i guess. U can even get away with it when they have too many traffic offenders lining up behind u when you can't bribe them fast enough. hahaha! If you look like a student, you could pretend you hardly have enough cash to spare. Or show them your empty wallet... |

interesting topic. Just tell the police you have no money. You have only RM50.00 in your wallet / RM20.00 only in your wallet. They will settle for anything believe me. Then take down their badge number secretly or memorize it. After that, go to Bukit Aman police station and make a report and state the policeman's badge number in your report. Dont forget to say 'thank you' and 'goodbye' to the officer that took down your report. Then politely tell the officer 'Saya benci rasuah', smile and go out. |

Have you ever suspect that the police themselves are out to catch those who bribe them??
Instead of getting away with a fine, you might be slapped with a fine for the offence you committed and a fine for bribe too... |

Why So Se rious?

I cant believe this topic !! does that means that if u know how, u will commit more ROAD OFFENSE in the future? u ROAD BULLY !
well, i say it depends on your skin colour, for diff rates. i have a malay friend who get the kicks out of persuading cops not to summon him. he told me stories and keep asking me to try his methods. he says "Its an art, a challenge."
WELL I SAY, ITS RETARDNESS !! YOU SHOULD DIE ON ROAD FOR EVERY OFFENSE YOU COMMIT ! with limbs flying everywhere and blood splash on the road !! |

Agree with sarah. It's gets even better if you can secretly record it with your h/phone's cam hehehe. Serves them right.
About road bullying..... I won't agree much... imagine you in his position, get fined for forgoting to wear your seatbelt. what would you've felt??? RM300 might be small to you but not me.... |

Try talking your way out, saying it was an honest mistake. & if he lets you off with a warning, give him RM50 as 'duit kopi'. We are talking about the people who risk their lives for the security of the country. & they do it for pennies. We should give them some credit & stop bad mouthing em. Bribery is a serious crime. |

It pretty much depends on the season and mood of these officers. Most of them take 50 bucks off your ticket but a little begging on your side can bring it down to 10 bucks 'teh tarik/kopi'.
Oh, not to forget, your car has a 'price stamp' on it, which means if you drive a BMW or a Mercedes, forget about the 10 bucks, a minimal RM 50 is reasonable.
Lastly, you might want to say that your dad is ASP Ahmad from Bukit Aman... you might just get off for free... |

There is really no tricks and cheats to bribe. Eventhough we know bribery is wrong but people still do it because let's face it: would you have rather paid RM300 for an offence or just RM20-50 to be let off the hook? That is why bribery will never cease but should not be encouraged as well. But that is just life. I agreed with Piper's answer. At least that's what I have been doing. |

Go and "HANG" yourself at the tallest tree.
Are you nut, asking this kind of question on the net.
Give the policeman a break will you. Do yourself a favour, go outside and just stand at a traffic light on a busy street for an hour and then ask yourself if you have any pitty for those "GENTELMAN". Not all policeman are like that da. They are also hard working profisanal like we all are. So dont you dare try to bring thier moral down just cause 1 out of 10 policeman had ask for a bribe. |
|

Say what?
|
Nobody likes to bribe. But isnt this the custom in malaysia, either you pay the government which u dont know where the money ended up anyway, not that we are getting quality road, on top of that u have to queue to pay or you give it to the skinny police and quickly end it there.
Ok this is how:
1. the trick is, quickly take out all your money and stashed it in your back pocket. Leave only 20 or 30 inside. Then u showed him that u only have that much.
2. Use outstation plate number. If u are in KL, switch to Ipoh plate or something. So when they stop u, say that u are not familiar with the KL confusing road and ask for leniency.
3. Say u rushed coz u are genuinely having stomach problem and need to get to the loo quickly otherwise u will soil the car seat. |

I love this topic. Bribery is everywhere in Malaysia. It's an epidemic, a plague that is costing Malaysians their right to progress. Actually, the police will very directly tell you how much they are expecting, they'll say "rm50 saja, saman lagi mahal, saya mau tolong saja"... so, depending on the offence, but still it's a summon, at a discounted price! |

traffic police in KL is Cheap.. don't give over RM 20 |

haha..normally i will jus quickly remove big notes fr my wallet or jus take a coin pouch wit onli rm 10-20 in it. then tell them "saya tak ada duit, hanya ini saja".... trust me... they will jus take it! so jus keep a spare wallet wit onli rm 20bucks in it in ur car gloves compartment. it will come in handy! it also depends on ur age n type of car u drive. traffic police seemed to b more afraid of uncles age 40-50s driving mercedes. haha...maybe they r afraid they r wealthy n powerful(dato ) ..cos they r quite afraid of my dad...lol
anyway, bear in mind... "pandu cermat, jiwa selamat"...try not to commit any traffic offence ...:) |

So the police force is corrupt. Yvonne and Sarah might be angry with this topic. Jangan lah. I know for a fact that Malaysian police and Immigration are both CORRUPT. I had experience it too when I went to Kedah. They gave me a hard time for money. Opppssss, I aint criticising, I am just telling the truth. So guys, be careful. That's my advise. |
