Visit Baguio City - the summer capital of the Philippines. From there, go to Laoag City in Ilocos Norte, the hometown of the infamous Ferdinand Marcos. On your way to Laoag, stop by the many beaches along San Fernando, la Union, after that, check out the old town of Vigan in Ilocos Sur, then proceed to Laoag. Stay in the main island of Luzon and part of Visayas, and if you can, avoid the island of Mindanao. There are great places to visit there, but, that's where the Moslems associated to Bin Laden are known to kidnap Americans for money. Manila, Makati and Quezon city are too crowded, have too much traffic, and takes hours to travel small distances, but that's where it's fun to shop, plenty of mega malls to go to. |

Spend a couple days on Bohol -- Chocolate Hills, Tarsiers, Loboc River ride (floating restaurant). Alona Beach is nice. Eat at Trudis Place and many other restaurants on the beach.
Visit Boracay and Puerto Galera too -- plenty of lodging, and dining on the beach. Lots of tourist shops. Pleasant night life.
Villa Escudero is a nice coconut plantation resort out of the way -- meals included in the deal.
I'm there now (at the time of this writing) with my husband. I'll be back for Christmas.
Hidden Vallen Springs is nice too -- nice accomodations, meals included in the deal, and, well, hot springs to soak in. |

All these places are worth a mention.Cebu is best for a big city atmosphere with plenty of shopping, nightlife etc.It is also a good base for visiting the surrounding islands by air or by sea at reasonably low prices.Cebu itself has many beautiful beaches,is cosmopolitan and has many restaurants. |

greenhills for fine dining, good food, enjoy the area with fantastic nightlife and entertainment
rockwell for shopping and enjoy the new arts decor created for the ambiance...
pangasinan for their church-our lady of manaoag that was carved recently on a live tree...
baguio for their pine trees and coolness..check out camp john hay, burham park, and the philippines military academy..neighboring banaue rice terraces, mind you, its cooler than baguio with that nature wonder of the rice field cascading from the top to the bottom...
tagaytay for the lovely scenery and nurture spa . i do suggest the spa, the place will take you back, sleeping in the hut after a good massage and spa.....
legazpi for its beautiful mayon volcano (used to be the perfect cone volcano) and the cagsawa ruin which is famous as a church that was buried when the mayon erupted..
la union for their "pagudpud beach"...beautiful white sand and their shells...
vigan for their antique houses and horse carriage..feel the antiquity....
quezon for their family park such as villa escudero that serenade you while aboard in our water bufallo, dine outside in the water cascading at your feet..
batangas and laguna for their spectacular beaches..try the rental house in the middle of the ocean for the whole family to enjoy..
that is only in luzon part...
i never been in mindanao but i've been in visaya
cebu for its famous churches--the holy shrine of infant jesus and the basilica..and last but not least kalibo, aklan for the well known boracay island... |

If you like white san and unspoiled beaches, clean blue tropical water on an Immaculately kept Island resort I would suggest Marbuena Island Resort in Ajuy Iloilo. It's on a private island 10 minutes offshore with nature tails, Island hopping tours, stunning sunsets and a resort with a staff of courteous helpful people attending to your every need. Cost's $35 a night but is well worth the cost and 1/3 the cost of Boracay. It's a place to go and relax and get away from it all. Don't bother trying to find it on the web. It's not there but you might find it in a travel Guide. If you want something more exciting, go to Boracay. It's about 2 hours away from Marbuena. |

Bohol is the Philippines number 1 destination (for the last three years), but i like Ormoc City, its clean and green, the most friendly people in the world always a smile, and polite
Lots of fun also, loads of great accomodation from hotel/resorts like Sabins, through hotels with pools like Ormoc Villa, to nice bungalows to rent |
