dirty ice cream, icre crumble, dirty mami (hehe), fishballs and squidballs, kwek kwek, penoy and tokneneng, and of course isaw. also love the sago't gulaman, and bj (buko juice)!
everything is so yummy and cheap.
these street foods also tell us that equality exists, no rich nor poor.
another revelation... "manong" and "manang" is a life saver ehehehe |

Aside from the things that they've already said (balut,penoy,tokneneng,kwek-kwek, squidballs, fishballs, helmet, betamax, isaw, palamig, etc) I really love eating all the "kanin", such as sapin-sapin,biko,buchi,banana cue, kamote cue etc, that you can buy on the street. |

Fishballs or squidballs from the Philippines. Just avoid dipping in the sauce. Ask for a new one, since this was the source of outbreak of typhood fever before.
BBQ is another best seller in the Philippines and lechong manok
( roasted chicken).
Taho is definitely a must for those people travelling in the Philippines. Have you tried our balut or penoy?
I have learned about kwek kwek about 2 years ago. It is an egg wrapped in flour then colored orange!
Avoid the drinks such as gulaman! There was a study showing that you can get Amoebiasis or Acute gastroenteritis from this. You are never sure where they got the water. To be sure, buy canned softdrinks or bottled softdrinks. |

isaw!! the best..haha i really love isaw. the taste is good though some of my friends hate it and says it's yucky, but i've been eating that for ages now and i'm still very healthy!! :) i love both chicken and the pork isaw. they're good as viands too. beat that?
pork barbecue is good too.
to those unfamiliar with our answers: these are the common streetfoods in the philippines. if you get to visit our country, try all those we've mentioned. :) let us know how you felt when you saw and gobbled one... |

Hmmm, I eat all streetfoods, and had preferences to one over the others at a certain point. But my all-time favorites are balut, fishball, barbeque, tenga ng baboy and siomai (they sometimes sell it in the streets too). I don't like isaw because it has a bitter after taste, and I'm scared that the bitter substance I'm eating is the chicken poop inside it. I also heard of formed chicken blood, they cut it in cubes and grill it, but I'm also scared to try that because it might contain parasites or helminths. |

Street food is the kinda food you could care less of where it came from and what its going to do to your hunger( relieve it).
So its all the same. Grody when you think about it, but there when you need it most. |

Squirrel, opossum, and raccoon are all no good because they always lose out so badly to the car/truck that hit them. Deer, on the other hand can be quite a good street food if you are the one who hits it, or if you find it before too many hours pass. Providing you do NOT try to the meat that has come in contact with a busted gut! |

I have no idea what all you people are talking about.
In America, we don't eat kwek kwek or puso or anything like that.
Over here, you take a piece of pizza or a hot dog and sit down. |

squid balls, fish balls and siomai forever. These three are more recommended than the rest because you can assure that they're clean (not all the time) but it gives you no doubt whether they're safe to eat or not. |
