I can't think of any romantic love stories that touched me.
In my opinion, Jesus of Nazareth the 1976 film is a beautiful love story for humanity. I love when Jesus appeared to his disciples 3 days after his death on the cross. Very loving character.

As far as the story that is easy! Romeo and Juliet because enemies can fall in love also. But as far as how the story was presented in film is a different story.

I think it's a toss between "Gone With The Wind", or this little known film that stars Romy Schneider, where she played a gardenkeeper's daughter and met some Austrian royalty there thinking he was a simple gatecrasher. The title could be "Forever", but then again, it could be "Forgotten", since I it really is forgetable. The story is even reminiscent of "Kismet".
