Well, if one goes to work overseas for a few years, both the husband and wife get new friends and temptations. Considering that close to ten million Philippine workers are overseas, close to 20 million would be tempted (of course they're not all married), but you get the picture.

yeah.. financial dis agrrement is big factor why they separate.. and arrange marriage was so common before just like my parents,,, and that was a reason why they separated ,,, there was no love at all.. (after having six kids) lol.. anyway.. for me marriage isnt just about love, and sex.. its a commitment.. a lifetime commitment.. and they should have sure that they will stick together for richer and poorer,, for sickness and health,,, and as they say till death do them part.. Same as any other country. Incompatibility. That word covers every other problem that can arise. Example... You drink too much : no I drink more then you,,, You don't have enough money ... no you need too much... You want sex too much... No you don't want it enough.. YOU GET THE PICTURE DIBA!

my guess would be financial hardship. it is a fact that divorces increase after times of hardship (hurricanes, natural disasters, etc)

There is no divorce in the philippines...yet. (This could be the year for Gabriela, who knows.) We have Anullment or Declaration of Nullity of marriages, though. Nullity are those which are void from the very beginning, like incestuous marriages, bigamous marriages, marriages against public policy and marriages with the psychologically incapacitated. (A.k.a. Martin Nievera).

If it is only physical separation, i.e., separate abodes, then all those above me had given many reasons and I can add no more.

ive got 5 friends separated to thier husband 3 of them are irresponsible 1 is money reason and the other one have a third party..
my sister married twice and she separated now because of one reason her "ex-husbands"is very irresponsible...

They marry too early with little seuxual experiance. As a result the couples stray for lust. Next in line is unwanted and ill prepared parents. Pressures in this econo,ically deprived county force them to seperate. Unfortunate but true.

...not financially, coz rich couples separate.
...not adultery, coz many still stick to each other, although it.s a factor.
...not being ofw's, coz they are in essence already separated.
...not in-laws, coz many are like or better than true blood relations.
...not sexual incompatibilities, coz those who are the best in bed gets separations too.
...not falling out of love, coz love by nature have variable levels and can be fake.
what i can think is incompatibility in scientific astrology and numerology, because that its what i had always analyzed and observed.Though not 100%, but at least it's above 90 reliable for forecasting a union's stability.....,separation is inevitable by trivial reasons then.
At this period, because of materialism, many always prefer the best they can get, the more richer or the more beautiful, but it's only a temporary phase in life.In the end , they will still seek those they are compatible with in personality.
