Among the Muslims in the South, they do have royal families. So they have queens, princesses and all that. It's more of a title really coz they don't have any ruling powers. I have no idea who the current queen is. BUT she is definitely NOT the queen of the Philippines.

The Philippines is a Republic. The Sultanate of Sulu has royalty, but the Sultanate was in existence long before the Spaniards came. They abide by the laws of the land too, as well as the dictates of their faith (Islam) because they are in a special autonomous region. The Philippines doesn't have a queen.

You mean Queen of the Philippine Movies? That was many decades ago when there was always a queen and king of Philippine movies. Well, there was Susan Roces and Fernando Poe, Jr. There was also Daisy Romualdez and...I can't recall anymore. oh, yes,there was Carmen Rosales and Jaime or was it Rogelio de la Rosa. I was still a kid that time, I only heard my grown up sister swooning over these people. My, how starstruck she was, I could only watch her collect pictures of her favorite movie stars.
