LOL. As the answerers were saying, happy is not a noun but an adjective and therefore cannot be pluralized.
The adjective happy has comparative and superlative forms. The rule is the same to the rule that you outlined in your post. We just change the -y to an i and add -er or -est.
Example:
pretty becomes prettier / prettiest
The teacher should know better than to have the students pluralize the word. He he! |

ghostman

"Hippies"
peace man! |

Wasn't one of the 7 dwarfs in Snow White called Happy? (maybe not) but if there were 2 of them, they'd be Happies ☺. |

Everybody has missed the point. You are not asking what the plural of happy is, you are making a point about the teacher!!
Any teacher who does not know happy is an adjective and therefore cannot be pluraled, needs a new line of work. |

Adding the suffix -ies is a method to make nouns plural. The word "happy" is an adjective which cannot be converted to a noun in that fashion. One example of an adjective that can become a noun is "nice" into "niceities." The noun of "happy" is "happiness." |

there is no plural form of "happy"... |

Happy has no plural by itself.
But can be 'used' as a plural when describing another word i.e. Many happy returns |

Happy is an adjective. So, it will be "very happy". |

There's not a plural form of "happy". There's just "happiest" and "happier". |

Happy is not a noun. It's usually an adjective but might be a verb.
Happiness is a noun, but there's no "Y." |

All forms of "happy" are either adjectives or adverbs. It has to be a noun in order to have a plural form. Happy is not a "thing". It describes a "thing" |

hahaha ngek ngek indeed! Happy is an adjective, not a noun and therefore cannot be pluralized. But purely for exercise purposes, I will agree with the schoolchildren - happies it is!!!
So, Annabelle, have you had your happies yet? hahaha |
