Bill Clinton seems to have been forgiven, so why not Chua S.L.?
After doing the dishonourable (albeit human) act, he has taken an honourable action.
But there seem to be a lot of people who probably live in glass houses but yet seem to have no compunction about throwing stones.... |

Why must I forgive him when he did me no wrong? |

Yes, as Sarah said and as the saying goes "to err is human, to forgive is divine" |

I can forgive just about anyone.
Why get upset over 1 man cheating on his wife? It happens everyday.
Can his wife forgive him? I don't know. |

The only forgiveness he needs and truly matters to him would be from his wife and family.
As for the rest of us, especially Malaysian, the question should be.... can you forgive him for his doings or non-doings while he was in power as Minister of Health. What has he done for the people of this country to improve our livelihood or the health industry?
Personally, I think he could have done better when he was in power. There are no significant improvements done to improve livelihoods of the people.
With all said and done, can you respect a politician, a Minister after being caught in action?
Remember Clinton? Go figure, even Presidents fall. |

I have to salute him since he has the gut to admit and resign due to this incident. For this I think we have to forgive him. |

As a leader for certain group, he must show good example. If he fails to do that, he will loose the trust of people. He doesn’t have any relationship with me, but his act cause shame of our community. Now, he is not a leader anymore… good, so I forgive him. |

His rice bowl is already smeared, how much longer do people want to spit in it? His private life is not my concern, lets leave the old man alone.
One thing for sure, we all are not safe in hotel rooms. No privacy after paying a big sum of money. Imagine having a hidden camera while u try to have a bath. |

As a prominent political figure and member of the cabinet, he really should have thought carefully before committing the act. |

I am not related to him on personal matters so I can say nothing at all. But what crosses me is that he had done quite a good job as the Health Minister and has held high positions in the society and ALL that down the drain because he just can't keep his pants on. Pity. |

Yes. As long as he doing good in his job... |

Of course. What he did had nothing to do with anyone of us. It was his personal matter. |

Have to agree with Lazarus's answer.
He did me no wrong, I am not in a position to forgive him.
Why are we inclined to think that my messing up his personal life , Chua owes the whole world an apology? |
