China would be better helping the poor and poverty stricken masses of its people instead.

Macho
it's only for the benefits of the Chinese Govt. Trust my speech!

Harbin is a beautiful city in my opinion. It bears the nicknames "Oriental Moscow" or "Oriental Paris" for the architecture in the city.
Harbin is also known as "Ice City" for its long and cold winter. This city is most famous for its beautiful display of ice sculptures in the winter and is one of the sources of ice and snow culture in the world.

Harbin is particularly good for sightseeing in January and February.Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival always held during that days.
I think it's a good choice for 2018 Winter Olympics.

I don't know much about Harbin, but I was very impressed with the way they hosted this past Olympics. I was very entertained by the open and closing ceremonies. If they do as good as job as that, more power to them.

Harbin is very suitable for Winter Olympics...
it's a developed northern city...

Steph W.
that'd be really great! the summer olympics hosted in China was mostly a success, and harbin is a beautiful city.

Buster Ling
I will be in Harbin on Holiday for the Chinese New Year.
I wish China luck in getting the games, but I must warn you, its very cold there in winter. Like Siberia.

jimmy
go for it china. we know whoever gets will not organise it the way chinese would. great summer games, why not great winter games. mo vote goes to china.

Why not. They should get it.

Jesikah Riley
didn't china just host it? i think they should give someone else a chance

Angus
It'd be good for the city and the Chinese people in general. But I also think that they should not spend that much money. Some of the extravagance could be cut down and spent on the people or stimulate the economy more.

Eve P
Let them host 2018 Olympics, they got the money and they are good at hosting the opening ceremony. We will see how many "special effects" they got this time. Relax, its all a show.

I think it is a good idea, at least it is a try. I hope they'll get it.

GReeeN
If their bid is good than yes.

Farticus
The chinese babies born in 2008 should "legal age" (by chinese standards) by 2018.
