yum..i miss the philippines!! and i am here in the usa...anyhow, im dying to have some more of leche flan and halo-halo ( a type of ice dessert with chunks of fruit, tons of coconut milk and yummy rice crispies)...i also like the native style rice cakes that are wrapped in banana leaves..... but Filipinos also feast on western desserts, like french cakes, belgian sweets, german chocolate.......!!

Turon with langka is the best. The saba in the Philippines is delicious and sweet.

Another is ginataan with ube, pinaltok, sago etc etc. Sarappppppppppppppppp!

This is more like a survey than a question.
Nonetheless, here's my top three.

1. Buko Pandan
2. Maja Blanca
3. Leche Flan

Although the desserts i've mentioned are
common, it really depends on the preparation.
Some people like them very sweet, i don't
like desserts that are too sweet.

Some sweets are heavy. Like Halo-Halo,
Bibingka, Puto are not desserts but for meant
for meriendas (snacks).

You have to try mango sago. Its made from diced mangoes and cooked tapioca balls with cream and condensed milk then off the to freezer, best eaten cold. =) Yum!
