Everything has value if only to teach you what not to be.
I thought I was a great playboy. I never lied to anyone and took my "jollies" where I could find them. I thought being brutally honest was a saving grace. Often I was cold and heartless moving from "flower to flower" as it suited me.
Then I fell in love with a woman who was just like me. A selfish hedonist. She used me and left me at the alter. It took me a year to recover. That experience changed me.......for the better......it made me more compassionate......more empathetic |

Annabelle, I willingly admit that Answering your Questions has truly motivated me to change or reform and become the person I am today.

First, there's nothing much to reform. Change, for the better, is more appropriate. My family, especially my beautiful children. |

I have always been the person I am today so no change or reform was required. |

a lot of things.
probably mainly just high school. high school changes anyone with emotions.
family- because i grew up without a real family. i had to learn at a young age to take matters into my own hands because i had no one there to do it for me.
friends- they helped me through a lot and told me when i was being stupid.
and mistakes. i made a lot of them.
they changed for for who i am today. |

...my career...
i used to be sensitive to criticisms (be it constructive or otherwise) before but the demands of my work in sales required me to be strong-willed and mature. my work sometimes cost me quality time with my loved ones but on hindsight, it made me more appreciative of my precious moments with them. |

Allowing myself to dream of what I'd like my future to look like; then come up with a plan and stick to that plan to achieve it. The vision helped shape who I have become (and am still becoming) and the system of accountability and courage to strive towards it helped me get there. Lately I've found a cool free website called Sproximo really helpful in keeping motivated towards my goals. I like the way it asks me to clarify my goals and devise a game plan. |
