Manila isn't a good place to "live in" period. Yes, good to visit, but not live in or retire in. |

Probably the Ermita area for foreigners. Close enough to the MRT, Robinson Mall, good restaurants and some nice bars. With the improved lighting on the streets it is a little safer even at night time. Roxas Boulevard even looks better now with all of the new lights and lots of family groups, even late at night! |

For security and good people, I would suggest Filinvest I, Quezon City. If you want a night life, you can simply arrange to have gimmicks with your neighbors which are truly good guys.
Hope you have a nice day! GOD BLESS!!!!!! |

Well, it depends on what kind of "action" you're looking for.
But, by best, I'm thinking "safe", "clean" and "with available transport"...
The Makati business district would be your best bet, I think. And don't worry, there's still plenty of action around. |

anywhere south of Manila (Muntinlupa, ParaƱaque, and Las PiƱas) is the best place to live because you can afford to get wasted and come home safely. convenience first.
compared to Makati, Ortigas, Taguig or any other suburban Manila town... you will get either get killed or busted by the cops for having a lot of night action.
drink moderately. |

My wife and I own a condo at Robinson with a commanding view of Manila Bay and its great. Everything we need is just an elevator away. Whats so great, we can lock our doors and go to our home to Oregon and not worry about our home getting broken into.
Sorry to say, but even in gate communities homes get broken into and house gets ripped off.
Ermita, Malate and Makati area are popular areas for western expats |
