Though it was the dress code for most of my colleagues, I would not really recommend it.
When push comes to shove with battling the riot police, many leave their slippers behind. Such a waste! |

UP - been there, done that. I've even seen a few of my schoolmates running fast for an exam in the clothes they have slept in. |

Many colleges like Adamson, UST, UE, etc. allow their students to wear shorts/their own style of clothes once every week, as far as I know when I was still a student.

pretty much all universities allow you to come as you are :o) the professors will only care if you make it to class, participate in intellectual discussions, if you managed to bring a notebook and a pen to take down notes and finally actually pass their course... they don't (don't!) wanna see you the following sem with your shorts and slippers... |

In La Salle you can wear your slippers if they're havaianas, merrell or the more expensive ones. In UP you can wear Spartans or the fake Islanders (spelled ILANDER), they don't mind. |

All levels but schools may have a dress code.
Some elementary school students in provinces wear slippers and rugged clothes.
In manila, universities like UP and DLSU allow shorts and slippers but majority of the schools in the philippines still have uniforms and dress codes |

In addition to the other school(s) mentioned, I would like to add Ateneo. Wore shorts but not slippers when I was still studying there. It wasn't uso yet back then but some of the other students wore em. |
