For the average income earner, for breakfast it's eggs, hotdogs or sausage or tocino, fried rice and paksiw. Then coffee or milo (chocolate drink) or milk plus bread (sliced or the perennial favorite pan de sal). For lunch, it's tinolang manok, fish (fried or with sauce). Some have dried fish, green salad. Then juice or softdrinks. For dinner (mostly the heaviest), it's pork chop or adobong manok/pork, salad and then soup.

Fish, meat, and vegetables.. Its usually just one at a time or a combination of vegetables as a side and either a fish or a meat.. When I say meat, it means pork, beef, or chicken.. Pork is most of the item preferred over any other meat...

Examples (my favorite) of viands
Pork: lechon, sinigang, adobo
chicken: adobo, tinola, prito (fried)
fish: sinigang na bangus (milkfish), nilaga, inihaw
other seafoods: sinigang na hipon (shrimp), alimasag (crab) na may gata (coconut milk), pagi (stingray) na may gata
goat: caldereta
beef: bistek, bulalo, beef with mushroom
Vegetables: ginisa (sauteed), pakbet, tokwa (tofu) with pork
Dessert: ice crem, ice candy, fruit salad or buko salad

Filipinos are well travelled people. You can find them almost anywhere in the world. And we generally eat anything, well at least I do.

Of course the country has all the major US fastfoods & restaurants as well as countless cuisines of any country around the world.

But if you need a general idea of what Filipino food is like then check here:
