You can pull funny faces without breaking eye contact, this will usually put them off or make them laugh. |

It depends on the purpose of the stare. Sometimes, people stare to convey a message and get noticed. Some guys do this often. Sometimes, I catch myself staring at someone because s/he has caught my attention or there is a detail that I need to focus on but I do my best to be discreet about this.
Yes, staring is rude and when this is the type of stare that I get, I stare right back, with dark, probing eyes. Then, once the person notices that I am well aware of what s/he is doing and will not flinch, I tilt my chin up as an act of defiance and only when s/he drops his / her gaze do I stop. |

I have poor eyesight so I know I can out stare anyone if I'm not wearing my glasses. I don't see anything anyway. |

Well i presume is both of you are facing each other about an arm length away. Just for a game of staring each other down.
Look at the black of the eyes, then move to the whites of the eyes. then back again. To the opposite party, it may not be noticeable that you actually moving the eyes slightly. It does help to stare long without blinking at all.
If you are far apart and staring, preferbly not to. It will be very unpleasant to outstare each other. |

Haha! That happened to me last saturday. I don't stare cause they say it's unethical. I just left because the lady was creeping me out. |

Depends. If the person staring at me seems to be belittling me or stares in an insulting way, I'll stare back and never waver.
If he stares as if trying to place me, then i'll look at him/her now and then and just wait for whatever he/she does next.

I stare back in the most obvious of ways.
Hard, Obviously, Long, Obviously.
That's what I used to do for years.....
Now, I just turn at look Directly Straight at him/ her / them.
In a most obvious way. |

I can no longer engage in a staring contest.
The moment I took the vow of secrecy and became an operative for Covert Operations, it is no longer an option. If someone stares at me, it means my cover is blown and I either have to slither away or blow the guy to smithereens |

If it's a pretty lady, I will cut short the staring and proceed right away to introductions. If and only if! |

You ask the most interesting questions annabelle p. If you're an outgoing person, have a staring contest until they look away. Again if you were an outgoing person, make a crazy face at them. If you don't want to deal with them, just ignore them. |

Well, it depends on who's staring.
If it's a total stranger that looks creepy and looks like he wants to kill you, I'd walk away! Lol!
But if it's like, your friend or your parents, they might want to say something so I'll stare at them back and try to see what their message is. It might be important and can only be conveyed through staring.
Or...if it's a guy (or a girl if you're a guy), he/she might just be flirting or whatever. In that case, stare back and batt your eyelashes (kidding!) or wink. ;) |
