Domestic or International??

Domestic.....In the evening. It gives me the chance to go to my hotel, unpack and get ready for the next day.

International....In the morning. Since there will be time change issues, I want to make myself stay up all day so I can get some rest and sleep when it is night time.

On short flights, middle of the afternoon (that way I don't have to get up in the middle of the night to get to the airport).

Long flights, in the morning. Gives me time to settle down & buy a few things before I pass out late afternoon from jetlag.

I prefer late-evening so I can see the beautiful lights of the city from the plane. If I travel by land, I still prefer late-evening so I can hop to bed as soon as I arrive.

i'd prefer early morning or dawn..coz i want to see the sun rise and to feel the cool breeze..

siopaO
early morning....

Mid afternoon is better. Hotels usually offer rooms from 2pm and hence, I am assured that my room will be ready and waiting. Also, mid afternoon allows time for a slow drink of vodka and tonic, some rest and a liesurely walk in the evening or just plain sleep.

I prefer to arrive in Europe in the afternoon, when I am sure my room will have been vacated and cleaned. Many hotels have a 14:00 check-in time.

Unfortunately most flights from North America arrive very early in the morning so one must trust to luck that the room will be available.

Hope that helps!

grace
early morning, because I want to enjoy my whole day

Juan C
late evening... so that when we arrive, we can rest for the whole night...

Early morn. Can't stand the heat. Afraid of dark.

Early dawn or early morning. You get to see the place when everybody is asleep and there's no traffic to greet you. There is also something about early dawn or early morning that seems refreshing to your eyes and to your whole being, like being refreshed and alive to greet the morning sun.

i like early in the morning.

St.Elmos Fire
Mornings are beautiful to get settled in foreign places.

ScarletRaven
The middle of early morning and noonish. Probably at about 9am. That way, it's still early enough for me to do a lot of exploring, but also the right time for the malls and other establishments to already be open. :D

brokenheart_md2007
at the down to see the sky it is vey beautiful

NAB
Noonish...

Means I don't have to get up too early for my departure flight; and arrive to still do things during the rest of the day at my destination.

i prefer to arive & go straight to the hotel in mid afternoon 2 or 3 pm this gives me a better choice of rooms by checking in after checkout time & the rooms are made i can get setteled in to my room & still have a hour or 2 to relax before dinner i like this because after a long drive or flight i just want some quite time before embarking on my adventures that evening or the next day

Usually noonish. It gives me time to still enjoy that day, and around noon I shouldn't have any issues with check in.

on time (which is 95% not possible)

On international flights from the US to Europe I find it helps to arrive in the late afternoon. One can take care of any business or travel related things and perhaps have a quick meal or snack and then get some sleep and be fresh for the next day. This is helpful for people who find it impossible to sleep on a plane (me, for one!)

Mid-Afternoon or late afternoon is fine.

I like to arrive that time (around 5pm), because its still enough light outside to see the hotel and the view; but its late enough so that I can take a bath, change my clothes, eat, relax, and prepare for the next day. I dont want to begin sightseeing when I arrive at my destination. You want to relax, enjoy the hotel, and prepare for the next day.
