Well if it's your first time in Thailand then I would suggest you finish your tour of Bangkok first then head out to the nearest beach resort of either Pattaya or Huahin. This will not put you in a rush and you would have visited two famous tourist destination in Thailand. For further planning you can check out http://www.escapethailand.com/
cheers. |

Suggest Bangkok a couple days and then
~ Beaches in the South (Puket and neighboring Phagna state) [Check the weather reports] OR
~ A Mountain Valley of the North (city of Chiang Mai) [I live here, weather is perfect,] |

Bangkok and a beach.
For beach towns I like: Hua Hin, Koh Samed, Krabi (koh phi phi), Pattaya (Jomtien beach).
If you decide to spend some time staying in Bangkok I would suggest spending a day going to Aytthaya (55 miles north of Bangkok). A day trip going to Damnoen Saduak floating market in the morning and then having a seafood lunch at a village on the coast is also a nice thing to do. |

76 provinces for you to choose and to help you to choose 2, might be a trifle difficult.
Leaving out the 3 southern provinces that are perpetually in trouble, there are still 73 left to choose. How much travel are you willing to take? Do you want just nearby provinces> Do you want to shop? Go to the beach, swim, snorkel, dive? Or do you want to be in the mountains to be with nature, listening to the waterfalls? Or feel the history among ancient ruins?
Probably best for you to look at the geography of Thailand and read up on the attractions it has to offer at http://www.tourismthailand.org and make a decision yourself as to how you want to spend your 6 days. |

ONLY 6 DAYS?!
If you are already coming into Bangkok from your home place, I would suggest Bangkok & either Hua Hin or Pattaya.
If you can change your flight plans, go down to Phuket & Krabi (& daily trips to surrounding islands.)
BUT ONLY 6 DAYS?!?! |

If you have only six days I would suggest you fly to Bankok Airport, get taxi to take you to Pattaya and spend at least 4 days there(because you won't want to go home) and the last 2 days at the Panthuwan Princess Hotel which links up with MBK shopping mall(you will not certainly want to go home from there either).I shall be there in November until January2008 in both Pattaya, Bangkok ,and Koh Samui. |

Two days in Bankok and 4 days in Pattaya for your first trip.
If you were just going one place I would say Phuket and stay all 6 days.
Chaing Mai is wonderful but if you decide to go back that would be the place for your second visit. |

I would break up this way-2 days BKK, fly to Phuket Island(it's big with a handful of beaches), then head down to Rawai, Kata or Karon (hour in a car) for 2 days of rest and relaxation, then back up the road about a half hour to Patong Beach for the sheer sleazy spectacle of it for 2 days. From Patong it's about 45 minutes to the airport, fly back up to BKK, connect to your flight home and there you go.
Flights between Bangkok and Phuket are cheap and happen at least once every 2 hours, probably more.
Enjoy your trip! |

Only one choice - Pattaya. It's got everything (and more) that anyone could wish for in a holiday.
Happy holiday. |

Go to a drug den and then prison. You might need another 60 years holiday though. |
