Majority of the lower class thai people jst see (Farang) English American tourist as money not people,they seem to think there owed something in life you'll here storys like "I'm from a poor Family can you help me"And they think its tourists who owe them because we have lots of money compared to them, they dont realise you've got to work hard to get any where in life.....

There parents and friends tell them to learn english and go the big citys and sleep with old foriegn men and they'll make you rich marry them have babys with them then you have a link to the Western World

Once they get to the Bars and get a job the owners of the Girly bars usually Older Women will tell them how to act and how to manipulate tourists and make them feel good and happy and get them drunk coz once men are drunk they dont think woth there brains right ....

It's well known in all of Thailand that sex tourists come here for the women.

Here's the situation for countless of poor Thai women: facing severe poverty at home (and I mean severe... you've never seen anything like it in the US or Canada), a family to support (which doesn't just mean their children but their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nephews, etc), a deadbeat husband, no education because they had to stop going to school at 10 to get a job to help support the family, etc.

Now, they can go to Bangkok and become a common laborer and make something like 200 baht a DAY (that's about $5.50 a DAY). Getting a good job is out of the question because they haven't finished middle school and couldn't afford university even if they did (the Thai government doesn't provide educational grants or loans or stuff like that).

Or they can come to Bangkok and become a prostitute. It's destroys their soul but they can make a lot of money and take care of the people they are obligated to take care of.

Who teaches them? Their customers.
Do they enjoy it? I doubt it.

It's a choice that many women make in Thailand. Not for fancy cell phones and a good lifestyle but to take care of their families back home.
