Where is the decency of this section? Trolls Vs. Trolls!?

I think you will find that the majority of people here are decent and that their main aims are to help others and also have some fun.
There are two types of clones/trolls.
The 'bad ones' are out solely to ridicule, embarrass, insult or generally cause havoc on this site.
The 'good ones' also embarrass or insult people but do it in a funny, witty way. Personally these ones I don't mind as long as they don't cross the fine line of decency and good taste.
The clones/trolls are not necessarily from regular users of this site nor are they necessarily Filipino they can be anybody.
You stated "How about the vicious comments posted by the regulars here concerning my question?" What do you mean or can you give me an example. Perhaps it is the way you structure your question/answer.
One thing you have to remember is that there is a lot of trolling and cloning going on and because of this a lot of the regulars are somewhat wary of new accounts.

apparently clones & trolls have NO decency.

all they think about is themselves.

if they trample anyone underfoot it wouldnt even bother them.

if they turn off potential travellers to the philippines, they dont give a damn.

if they slander or say false accusations against people they know very little about or if all they want to do is to project an image of immorality if not carnality, they may actually feel good about it.

now, thats throwing decency out of the window. as i have said before let us at least have INTEGRITY, while we are having some fun, enjoying sharing our knowledge & meeting new people here in YAP.

The trolls bashing each other is definitely not something that we Filipinos want to showcase on YAP. If you would be so kind as to look around and view some more of the posts, we are actually trying very hard to rid this section of trolls, as they are not only nuisances, but also rather harmful to the image of the entire YAP. It is just that sometimes it's kinda hard because there is just so many of them. Besides, we can never really be sure if the clones are all Filipinos. After all, the MasterTroll on YAP is not Filipino, and it is entirely possible that his posse aren't as well.

YAP is actually very informative, and Filipinos are decent people. We just need help with the annihilation of trolls and clones. ^_^

There are lots of decent folks here at YAP. Just look at the samples of the kind of answers that the regulars give to the legitimate askers. This is the kind of image we want to show - that we are helpful folks here.

First of all, let me acknowledge your question as a valid observation. When I stumbled on YA one day, I was reacting violently to some racist remarks for I didn't have a clue that some were actually deliberately taunting such response. As days passed, I realized I have been had, and felt stupid to have responded at all.

Now, I just choose the questions I answer. I do not even care now if the question is from a TROLL (I just learned of that word here).

I do not think that YAP is the best gauge of the Philippines. I look at YAP now as a game, a pastime. Do not take it seriously.

Look around more,darling. It's not only happening on Philippines Section and you can't be sure that all clones are from Filipinos.
The best thing for you to do is to ignore them and who knows they might get tired of trolling around. I hope you do get what I mean. <*-*>

First of all, my dear, I believe you interchanged the use of "response" and "respond" in your detail. I must confess it gave me doubt on whether you are not, indeed, one of the subject of your question.

However, I will presume innocense and proceed as though your are the real thing.

Like others above me, I have never heard of Trolls and Clones until I joined YAP. Until this very moment, the definition of the terms elude me.

Being a sci-fi enthusiast, I've known the meaning of a clone for a longish time. But the term troll is something new. I looked it up and it has many meanings, but the nearest I could come up with is someone fishing - and not the Scandinavian folklore.

With the exclusion of Scarlet Raven, Felicity and Celestine,most of us in this question of yours, who have answered are new in the game.

I have written to Allan, the current leader, but he has not replied to me.

I am, therefore, coming to a conclusion that it is something we have to deal with on our own. For the newcomers to find our for ourselves. And to give them the respect due them, the exclusive club of top contributors, they are right.

For them to take on newcomers, not by their own volition, on to whichever side might be unethical. I mean they will not voluntarily tell us the old snake is the devil, or that fruit is forbidden. We have to crawl before we can run.

There's another side to it. Perhaps, they don't want to take the FUN away from us, by finding out for ourselves.

And here I was, contemplating (konting plato) on writing a new Sun Tzu manual on the Art of War in Cyber Space....

Seems I have to go back to the drawing board.

I sincerly hope not. But you know the TROLLS here CRAVE ATTENTION. Ignore them and they go away eventually.

just ignore them. they are faceless people. some avatars do represent how they look, some represent what's in their head. some trolls are silent, some are vocal. if you want peace in your mind, do not join them. continue doing where your happiness is.
