i'm a filipina and i don't like it when foreigners come here to look for their wives.. they go to malls, sit in areas where people pass by and come up to girls, introduce themselves like they feel so attractive when infact their losers. i think its so rude. and even though filipinos are known to be friendly and hospitable, we don't like that kind of friendship. if you want us to be friends, then let's keep it that way.

girls who give in to those foreigners are known us sluts and bimbos. but i'm not talking about all of them, just those who don't try to get to know the guy first. some of them think its just a free ticket away from the phil. most of these girls are poor and uneducated.

and those dating sites are ridiculous.. yah, you can meet a lot of girls, but trust me, the good ones don't go there. my advice to you is, live here, do your stuff (like what you normally do in UK), meet someone that shares your interest and beliefs, get to know her, and have a meaningful relationship.

when the time is right, you'll meet her.

Not all of these mail order outfits are bad....its just a way for them to make a few dollars by selling Ladies addresses...it's not that bad...Heart of Asia is a good one....but your list might be old by the time you get it...

The thing is, what you might find attractive and what I would want in a woman are probably different. That is why its good to get some names of ladies you like the looks of before you go there....at least you have a start...mind you...once you go there, you will be transfixed by the nice looking and friendly young ladies....the married ones will keep their distances...

don't do it, i've lived here 14 years and you should just come here and enjoy life, relax and slowly get to know people. things will happen of their own accord. so many people come here and jump into relationships with the first person they meet, i just fall over laughing. don't forget, here it's not your personality, but your PESONALITY, which seems to be all important, cynical as that sounds, just don't get ripped off like 50% of expats do!!!

I guess if you're emigrating here soon, you can also try meeting girls working as cashiers or baggers at grocery counters or posting an ad at the local newpapers.
