i got burned when i used a lighter not knowing it was at "full open". a match is better
but, if we have to go deeper to your question, you might be asking me to choose mining and logging, then my choice would be logging. trees can be replaced but not the oil. |

A lighter is useful when its windy. A match is useful when you travel by air. Otherwise I would use either. |

a match is much more handy to have around:
1. you can use them as toothpick
2. wrap an end with cotton to clean your ears.
3. cut off the heads & put these in your friend's cigarette

lighter. I normally have to burn 3-4 matchsticks just to light whatever. And lighters are normally what people carry around so easier access than matches. |
