watch the news. because you can get the news faster & updated in tv than reading it in newspapers. But when i need more information on a certain news i go and read it online. |

neither po, sir. i have no access to tv and the newspapers i get are a month old and are torn into pieces because we use them as toilet paper. but i do get my news from the local tsismosas in my neighborhood. my tita loleng is the 'anchor' woman of our local newsteam here in tondo. she's always providing us the latest updates, like who is kaliwaing her husband or wife, or who just bought a new cell phone, or who got pregnant, who's going abroad to work, etc. you know, real news! so, sir, quarter please? thank you po! |

tv news are a quick source of info, for papers one needs more time to read it. but reading newspapers or from the web are more challenging as the brain needs to function. so i go for reading the papers. and the article written are more thourough compared to the news on tv.the more time devoted to write the article, the more time one needs to read it. |

I prefer to read newspapers because the contents are more balanced and I can delay to learn about an article and read it whenever I want. Newspapers give me the chance to choose an article about an issue I want to be informed of. News on TV have a lot of breaks and a lot of them would not be newsworthy. News reporters on TV may become more subjective in presenting news and it gives bad influence to the thinking of many viewers. |

I prefer TV on breaking news, weather reports and sports but I'd like commentaries better on print media. |

watch t.v. news because it is more updated/ Some people add their opinions when writing a news article and the news isnt accurate.
sometimes when i read something i end up getting bored and day dream and forget what i just read.
also watching t.v. is less time consuming and way more interesting. |

I watch the news on TV for most part of the week (Sat-Thu.) On Fridays, I read the newspaper because that's the time when the Movie pages come out. |

Neither. I prefer to get my news from the net. It's been the case that, time and again, stories break faster online. It's how I found out about the deaths of John Ritter, Johnnie Cochran and also how I found out that Saddam Hussein was captured. I have history with the net, and I don't see that changing any time soon. |

I usually watch the news because I'm busy - but if I had more time I prefer reading the papers. That way, I can skip which issues I'd rather not know/read about plus, I'll have an unbiased view of the news. Sometimes, news anchors put on some front or explicitly give their opinions on things when they should not. |

I prefer reading. I only read news items once. Or at least, if I want to reread, I have the option which article to read again or not.
TV news has a way of brainwashing the viewers. The repetitive showing of some selected news items (based on the judgement of the news manager or anchorman) covering some persons or issues has a subliminal message telling you to believe or retain such information in your brain. Something like a lie or a hypothetical thing becoming a truth through repetition. |
