Which do you think is the better channel...? ABS-CBN or GMA 7? Why?

GMA 7. Although I worked in ABS-CBN and although its my fave TV Station. Still, I think GMA is better than them. Especially when it comes to creativity and imagination. As you have noticed, ABS-CBN only replays the movie/telenovelas aired before while GMA is always making a new soap/programs...never seen before.

GMA 7 calls the shots right now in local television.
Their news and current affairs department lives up to its claim of objectivity and is very professional when it comes to the production aspect of their news programs.
I would agree that they are more original when it comes to their enteitainment productions but not necessarily better in quality or in content.

im always a kapuso though i watch abs cbn shows and programs... and i guess its not the gma who copy programs its the abs cbn..gma does make competition not copy..and gma developed artist and when theyre already popular abs cbn trade them just because they have big money to offer.....

ABS has more money...so they have bigger prizes to give away and more things money can buy... But when it comes to the shows, I like GMA better. Wowowee is really boring for me... with the same things going everyday and ridiculously easy questions and boring questions about the title of this song or whatever. I'm more entertained in GMA's shows... =)

GMA 7, i think, has more "quality" shows specifically its public affairs programs such as i-witness, reporter's notebook, etc. however, ABS-CBN is champion when it comes to marketing their shows. the hypes this network has created for the past 2 decades are unbelievably national in scope -- from the sarimanok fanfare in the 90s to the F4 fad to the PBB spectacle today -- and still serve as benchmarks for broadcast marketing in the philippines. they're even capable of tranforming a national tragedy into a marketing event. remember wowowee at the ultra?

it depends to your area because signal is the way we rate the channel stations.

There are some areas in the country that don't have good reception of the other network (ABS), so the other network (GMA)would claim that they're number 1 in that area, and vice versa.

Basically, where their signal is okay, they're well rooted by their audience.

So i should say they're both okay, that no one is better than the other.

none at all, they are both serve their own agenda, and thier news are both sensationalized reporting and gma captain barbell it is just a tagalog version of smallville, fu.. those creative writers for this telenovela, show respect for its author mars ravelo, to abs what happen to wowowee stampede victims and the case have been paid . and the pbb teen edition what morals value gain nothing. mabye i should watch PTV 4 , for more pgma lies and propaganda, because these 2 stations do not cover the whole truth on the govt. affairs

I believe on ABS-CBN. It is not only the shows, but more of what they do for the others. Bantay Batay, Bantay Kalikasan, Save the La Mesa watershed and Wowowee (despite what happened).

ABS-CBN and GMA are both better but I think ABS-CBN is better cause it has a lot more really loving stories (love story)
