Historic City : Melaka ( Malacca ) & Penang
Modern Cities : Kuala Lumpur & Johor Bahru
Greenland : Sarawak, Sabah, Pahang
For fun : Genting Highland, Sunway Lagoon, A'Famosa Waterworld, Underworld Langkawi etc
Islands : Langkawi (Langkawi is an archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea) , Sipadan, Tioman, Perhentian ( Kecil & Besar ), Pangkor, Tiga, Sibu etc
Traditional Life : Negeri Sembilan ( Malay culture include Minangkabau, Java etc ), Ipoh ( Chinese ), Sarawak & Sabah ( Bidayuh, Kadazan, Dayak, Dusun etc ), Melaka ( Baba, Nyonya, Portugis ) & penang ( Baba Nyonya ), Terengganu ( Malay / fishermen villages )
Mountain : Kinabalu Mt. ( at Sabah ), Ledang Mt., Tahan Mt. etc

Also you can go to Petaling Street ( Chinatown ), Masjid India, Tangkak, Nilai 3, Arab Street, Portugis village etc

Malaysia's politic so stabile not like Philippine

Philippines is nice except for the typhoon season starting anytime. Malaysia tend to be a safer option.
Choice is yours. To me, both are the same, except hospitality-wise, Philippines wins.

If anything goes for you then Philippines, but if you are looking to know more about cultures and people then i strongly suggest Malaysia for it never had to overthrow a government before. Malaysia is Safe, sophisticated and you will be spoiled for choices in Malaysia. Truly Asia.

Although Malaysia is Islamic Country, but dont worry about terrorist. Malaysia is tourist country not terrorist country.
Philippines... not so safe for ppl. Philippines is Catolic country but dont think u r safe there bcos got terrorist there ( MiLF ), they got conflict in politic.

My mom told me, if we go to Malaysia, we also can go to Singapore, Thailand, Brunei & Indonesia. But if we go to Manila... hmm... nothing. Just Philippines.

THE US advisory on its citizens to stay away from the Philippines will affect our tourist arrivals.
Not only will Americans not come to our shores but other nationals as well. The Japanese, Koreans and Chinese will also avoid coming to our country.
Most of our tourists are Japanese and Chinese from the Mainland and Taiwan.
The Japanese and Chinese who will visit us, despite the warning, are gangsters and others engaged in illegal trade.
You can't blame the United States for issuing the advisory.
After all, three of its citizens were kidnapped by the Abu Sayyaf while they were vacationing in Palawan, one of the supposedly most peaceful places in the country.
Now, if tourists could be kidnapped in Palawan, supposedly a very safe tourist haven, what more in other parts of the country like Mindanao?
If Mindanao is not safe for foreign tourists, Metro Manila is not safe either.
Just look at the crime statistics in Metro Manila. Kidnapping of ethnic Chinese (although much reduced now), holdups in buses and jeepneys, bank robberies, murders, drug trafficking are prevalent in the metropolis.
So long as criminals and the Abu Sayyaf terrorists are not put away we will continue to have very few tourist arrivals.

My answer? Do you think i will choose Manila? Think again!

In terms of tourist attractions, i would say Philippines. There is nothing much to see in Malaysia aside from the Petronas Twin Towers and Genting Higlands.

Who can beat the 7,107 islands of the Philippines? Its more than the usual.

I've never been to the Philippines but I've been to malaysia and fell in love with the place. The Philippines may be great as well, but politically much less stable and therefore potentially not as safe

it depends on what perspective you are looking for both countries. there are good & bad side of both place. if you are looking for nature i bet for Phils. if cleanliness & orderliness of people & traffic i go for KL Malaysia.

Neither is better! Better to go to Bali, Indonesia and/or Phuket in Thailand, with a stop in Singapore for a day or two (I think Chinese food in S'pore is the best in the world-it's so good it beats Hongkong)!
