They both for me have major ups and downs. If they feel the same, loving someone is the best feeling EVER. If they don't, it can become the worst. But same goes for bieng loved. If someone loves you, and you love them too, it feels amazing to know someone REALLY cares. But if you don't love them it feels REALLY crappy that you can't feel the same back, and they are in such pain.
I would say that loving someone is way more powerful though. You are more likely to sacrifice it all for someone you love (whether they feel it for you or not) than to sacrifice it all for someone who loves you (if you don't love them). |

You mean to love romantically or simply love a person as a human being?
Just be aware in case you don't know yet that "love begets love" which simply means in the opposite if you start hating everyone then what you do think you'll get in return?
Love is given and love is kind meaning you give it away unconditionally. If you expect something in return which is the root of your contention then that's a selfish and self centered type of love.
Love is not a form of investment that you'll get interest later. As I said when you love you give but don't make certain conditions that the other person needs to follow of course that's a conditional love. It's just like saying "I love you but, if, when, or else etc etc........ If you do that that's an immature kind of love.
Loving is making the person happy if you see a person happy that's makes you happy isn't it not? If you see a person sad and upset what do you think you feel? Hence, loving is giving cause you want the person be happy. But there's a gray area here......... communication! You communicate how you feel and let the person your intentions, plans, aspirations and dreams but not imposing it to your partner that it's absolute otherwise you'll back again to selfish love.
Love is also forgiving because if you don't forgive still it's like selfish.
Loving others makes you hurt that's part of it. But if you ask yourself why actually you'll find out the answer. Because you expect too much. But hey, did I say love is giving? Oh my don't forget.
Loving a lover or romantic love is the same formula to loving your neighbour isn't it not what the gospel yesterday about?
Just take a closer look to those people who are loving, nice and friendly isn't it not like they have all the friends in town always.
