Probably a stupid question. You can excuse an ignorant person, but with a stupid answer the answerer is either trying to show off or making fun of the question.

If the answerer is smart, and has a lot of common sense any stupid question can be answered in a way that would enlightened the misinformed asker. Answers could either be delivered pleasantly, in a humorous tone, based on facts, opinions or as a form of advise (in a friendly manner). The statement that says "There are no stupid questions" is partly true because even the most intelligent question can appear stupid if all the answerers give nonsense answers.
Add:
No stupid questions if there are good answers.
Stupid answers can make even an intelligent question appear stupid.
