my sense of sight because if i go blind, i'd be most vulnerable because i won't be able to see and i will need help and guidance in even the littlest of tasks and i'd hate that because i do not want to be a burden to anyone.
also, i wouldn't be able to see people through their eyes which is important for me because i gauge their sincerity & psyche through their eyes.
and of course, since i am appreciative of the beauty of nature, i'd be really sad if i won't see these glorious creations. |

Sense of touch. Helen Keller was able to succeed in life though she only got her sense of touch, and I don't want to be numb. |

Sight, as long as you can see, you'd know there is beauty in the world. |

Defintely SIGHT...
and second HEARING
The other senses are just as important, but one can live without a sense of smell, without a sense of touch and without a sense of taste, with less problems than those caused by loss of eyesight and then hearing... Place yourself in the middle of a room that is in complete darkness... You will feel the desperation of losing your sight. Its a most dreadful feeling. My mother-in-law lost her sight because of glaucoma, and she never overcame this tragic loss. |

Maybe my sense of touch, smell & taste...
For medical reasons, everything is possible now a days. If i lost my sight, we have an eye transplant. For hearing lost, we have hearing aide. |

touch.....i look forward to spending time with my hubby every night but he'd still love me if i lost that sense.
smell.....scent is the strongest memory reminder for me but not all memories are good.
sight.....i'm a designer but i also know that beauty fades.
taste.....i looove food. so much so that i know i'm gonna gain at least 5 lbs this holiday season and no one wants that.
hearing.....i love to sing and i love hearing my husband tell me he loves me every morning before he leaves for work. if i lost my hearing, i would probably still sing if i were deaf but i would feel terrible for the people around me! i have to be able to hear.....
darn! i would rather not lose any of them. i like being spoiled. |

The sense of taste and. .... smell.
Lots of people could live for a very long time, without seeing and hearing. Some got stroke and can feel nothing but luckily they are still eating.
Taste.... without it, lots of people will lack apetite. lack of apettite means little food intake. Little food intake means lack of nutrients for your body ....
Smell, it helps to enhance the foods taste. |

Most of all sight! - because we learn so much by watching,
followed by hearing - because we learn so much by listening,
then touch - because i just love hugs
then smell and taste - i'd miss them but could live without them if necessary |

If i were born with all five sense and had to select one i would least want to lose, it would have to be sight...
... not because i would feel that my whole world will crumble without it but because so many of the things i enjoy doing involves sight...
I love food and enjoy international cuisine but without the sense of taste, i'd probably end up eating healthier and living longer. Without my sense of smell i would not be able to appreciate fragrances and even taste for that matter, but it is not essential..
I love music.. i enjoy listen to a variety of genres and i love singing. I also love talking and foreign languages but without the sense of hearing i am still able to communicate almost just as well and could still sing the songs i have already learned.
Touch is one of the ways i express my love for others. Being able to feel when i express my love to others or when others express their love to me is important but loss of touch is not synonymous to loss of feelings, thus i would still be able to live with it.
To lose the ability to see is to lose connection with the world through the sense which i have connected with it the most... I enjoy beautiful sceneries, just standing in awe of the Master's creation... most of the information i process are visual stimuli... i love sports.. i love photography... i love the outdoors, i love travelling, i love reading God's Word, i love surfing the web, i love movies, i love seeing my family and friends, i love being independent... countless other things that require sight. without it i will not be able to enjoy these things... Loss of sight will not only be burdensome for me, but i myself will be a burden to others.
Anyways, you get the point... |

average people starts thier ideas and thoughts through visuals. so i would say sight. i may be able to speak and hear through sign language. taste for me is not that important because what is important is the substance of the food i take. i may be able to create my own distiction of the things i touch through my imagination and how i see thing.
god forbid but if i should lose one...
definitely i would sacrifice one sense but not my sight. |

My sight. I can't imagine a world of darkness. I have tried experimenting closing my eyes for some hours; seeing into nothingness scared me. I was like claustrophobic. Imagine yourself being trapped inside your wardrobe cabinet, without light... No, I can't have the loss of my sight. Anything else would be fine. |

Definitely sight. |

Definately sight. If I lost my hearing, at least I could still write things down and have people write back to me. If I lost my taste, I probably wouldn`t be as fat as I am! If I lost smell, at least I could work where it was stinky! If I lost touch, then I wouldn`t be able to feel pain. But loosing sight has no advantages whatsoever! |

touch. if I were to lose my sense of touch (if I were paralyzed perhaps?), I wouldn't know how else I would be able to hold the things that my sense of smell enjoys... I wouldn't be able to get to the place where my eyes could feast... I wouldn't be able to savour much the rich tastes of great food... I wouldn't be able to switch on media that could play my kind of music, nor would I be able to play musical instruments on my own. (but at least I would still have my voice which I would most probably just use to ask for something...if I were paralyzed it wouldn't be as great as my singing voice now.)
If I didn't have my sense of touch, I'd definitely be miserable because I would always have to depend on someone (anyone!) to have the simple things I long for... & then I would long for freedom which I will never have without the sense of touch!
:)
(additional: what would my eyes be for if I couldn't hold the things that my eyes desire? I could desire, but would never be able to feel them linger. besides, if I lost my sense of touch, I wouldn't feel pain... that must be good for some, but to me, pain is a great reminder that I am human.) |
