debit card is good if you have a lot of cash stashed in your bank account. this way, you'll think twice on how you'll spend your hard-earned money.
credit card is good if you are disciplined enough and wise enough to know when to stop spending the money that you don't have. |

In US, both are needed. Credit cards are necessary in building credit history to raise a credit score and debit cards are as good as cash and required when purchasing items or services and paying bills online. Debit card can be used as credit card too. |

Debit card = your own money
Credit card = borrowed money
Debit card is more useful and logical for day to day use. But, some places still look at you like you are less worthy of something when they see the word "debit" on the card when actually the opposite is more likely true. |

NONE!
in a debit card you will use what you have on you're account. why will i need it when i could walk on any atm machine (with master or cirrus accreditation) and withdraw cash.
a credit card is good only on the time you are using it. but when payment time arrive you'll be on deep s*#!t, with all of the interest, bank fee, card fee, tax etch, etch. that you have to pay you'll ending up paying more than 25% of what you had spend. and there's the penalty fee if you miss a payment.
Debit or Credit Cards? Nah thanks, cold cash, or my atm card, thats all i need. |

Debit all the way. I'd rather be debt free and not paying interest rates and other 'nickel and dime' charges that could (potentially) cost more than my purchases. Though a credit card can be handy in time of emergencies. |

Depends on your spending habit. A Debit card will be a prudent choice if you generally don't want to go over budget but a credit card will be helpful if you foresee the sudden need for extra cash. |

A debit card and that is what I have.
It saves me the worry and the hassle about some payments to make. |

I'd choose the debit card every time, that way you can't spend what you haven't got! |

Debit. I don't have a credit card and don't want one. |

debit card (with a lot of balance, hopefully!!)
I've learned my lesson well on credit cards. There is always the tendency to overspend. Now I keep my credit cards only for emergency purposes and for paying bills online. And I make sure to set aside money at the same time I swipe my card. That way I pay well in advance every month and incur no interest. |

debit. i would rather use my debit card for purchases because, i don't get charged for more interest. besides, it's the money i actually have.
i have 4 credit cards but i rarely use them. when i use my credit card, it's only to get discounts, like my Angel card, i use it to get what i need from victoria's secret because i get 10% off my purchase price - but i make sure to pay them after a week so i don't get any interest.
my advice is, don't spend more than the amount you actually have. that way, you don't get in trouble when the bills come. |

A debit card can be used as a credit card so a debit card is the better choice, and with a debit card u wont go into debt you wont be able to spend more than you have. |

Question > Would you rather use the money you earned or the money the banks lets you borrow, and charges you interest and fees???
Smarter choice would be debit... but credit always comes in handy... |
