Boracay...I've heard so much about it but when I went there it's too commercial, congested, and dirty. They have a bad irrigation system. The only good about the beach is its sands are finer than others in the Philippines. Boracay is too overrated. If you want to see a Filipino actor or actress you can go there during the peak season.
By word of mouth, Batanes is really good. A friend of mine went there and she can't wait to go back. It is more isolated but the view is said to be amazing. I've only seen it on an independent movie. |

18 years ago me and my family went up to baguio.its december.so most of my friends telling me thAt is very cold up there.when we got there, its hot and humid.everything we do cost money.most of the tribal people wants us to pay them, before we could even take photos of them.when my wife took a pics of him with out paying.he nearly hit my wife with the spear.so baguio to me is sux.the place i went expecting little but enjoyed my stayed are the balaki islands off the pangasinan coast.its one of the hundred islands.no other locals just us and few relatives.we got the island for our selves.nothing to pay.just brought our own foods.white sand and clear water.sadly its off limit now to everybody.because some rich dude bought the island from the government.probably a rich chinese, japs or koreans. |

Kabankalan City...
It is a beautiful place in Negros Occidental.
You would expect a city life of smoke and dirt but it is the cleanest and greenest city in Neg. Occ. |

Anyways, I love Tagaytay, I have seen in it in magazines, online but being there in person was a breathtaking!!
Same goes for Baguio.
Davao, looks good in pictures but to me it was just a sleepy and boring city. |

i spend 4 years of my life in manila when i'm studying in college but it doesn't really goddamn beautiful as in the brochures...well, of course they edit brochures for promotional and tourism and the local officials only fix or clean something whenever there is an international convention. But anyway there is still beautiful places in manila like my college school. Go to University of Santo Tomas, the oldest school in phils. and your forget that your in philippines because of its dominican and spanish inspired buildings and statues (dominican priests are still present).
I also like to go to Vigan, i simply love the old houses.
I also love Divisoria, it's not really that beautiful but many tourists go there because of cheap commodities. |

Only good in pictures, but not in reality - Manila (Highly urbanized, but not gratifying due to pollution, crime rates, lack of cultural diversity, etc.)
Good in reality, not so good in pictures - Zamboanga (A very beautiful and safe city, rich in cultural heritage, but badly perceived because of the present of the military forces)

Almost all places in the Philippines thats good in paper or brochures will deliver as shown. You can always ask us Filipinos and we would be honest enough to tell you which places are not that safe ( which by the way is present in every country). |

h aha ha ha ha ....
you do not want to go to the Philippines right now. I would never go period....I lived on base there in the late 70's and once we pulled out, it all went to hell. I am not kidding. the place is on fire, politically, and the militant muslims are a serious issue.
Save your money, go to Portugal or Ibiza. |

I don't like the Philippines. It's sooo dirty and sooo many poor ppl, so its dangerous to walk in the streets. Only Manila has some stuff to do. Dirty beaches. Go to Taiwan! |
