you can do water sports with the kids, flyfish, parasailing, banana boat, etc, have a massage by the beach, eat great food, enjoy the view..

Actually I will be going on a major vacation in about 6 months or so and I was asking myself more or less the same question....I know they both have tropical climates...and they both have beautiful beaches and scuba areas. they both have problems with armed insurgencies [although the Colombian insurgency, the FARC is more dangerous] they both have sexy, beautiful women [Colombian women are curvier, but Philippine women have prettier faces [well at least the ones from Cebu and Ne.gro.s...the ones from other islands, I'm not too sure of]....from what I hear, they both have a diverse and delicious cuisine...I am fluent in Spanish,and since I lived and worked in Mexico I would definitely not have culture shock in Colombia...but I am very curious about the Philippines and will probably end up visiting them [God willing]

Philippines bec even if people are poor they always smile and they can always eat. It may not be fancy but they can get full and also you can always ask your neighbor for some extra spices or egg hehehe esp. if you live in the provinces they always help one another.

I just got back from the Philippines, the farm land people thier are the best people I have met in my life, the culture is family first and very friendly to nice foreigners. The city's are similar to America, no one knows each other and some minor crime. Overall I know I will retire in less then 5 years rich there and live my life very happy with my wife who does not even want to come to visit the US because of the gang crime and how are countries government and economy is going to fall like Rome did. It is paradise there, even those who work are living like they are on vacation and happy. The poorest people their eat far better then I have ever been able to afford too and I am an engineer.

COME ON!! colombia ITS AMAZING!!! BEAUTIFULL PEOPLE!!!! AMAZING FOOD.. the climate WONDERFULL!! and ITS DEFENETLY NOT how people picture colombia!! yes its not the safest place in the world.. and Im sure that its the same for the philippines.. but its also not like they are going to kill you when you cross the street.. THE LATIN AMERICAN CULTURE.. come on nothing can be compare to it!! the music! the people!!! you wont find happier people!! AND u say that the Philippines have many activities.. ha! im telling you.. in colombia..!! you wont have time to rest there is too much to do... to much parties too go too and to much diaversitiy and FANTASTIC places to visit too!!! plus we have the heart on the world in our beautiful land.. (the amazon) :).. and cartagena has been name one of the hottest spots in the world!!!.. :) colombia is first in esmerald!!! too... and it has the best coffe in the world!!!...

and this for that electra..ignorant girl.. and please I know they didnt teach you manners at home but at least try to act with a little respect around here.. and just so you know.. and you do not look dumb next time its not columbia.. that is in canada is COLOMBIA.

Philippines is so rich when it comes to natural resources :) from crystal-clear waters to white sand beaches to beautiful and glorious sunsets to friendly and hospitable citizens to lush forests to city getaways and much more
