Out of those choices, I would choose Japan. Hong Kong and Singapore are too urban. Japan has a great mixed of modern living and traditional culture. It also has great historical sights. |

I have been to HK recently for the Chinese New year and I enjoyed it immensely. It was my first time to take a trip for leisure by myself. I'm so pleased that I didnt get lost in HK and travel from one place to another was so easy. The brochures certainly help and the signposts everywhere. There were many activities to do and places to see. I'm going there again for the 2nd time next year for the Chinese NY. I'm going to Singapore , Malaysia and Indonesia next so I might be able to make a more reliable suggestion. But then again, inspite of it's political and economic problems, who can beat the Philippines when it comes to glorious beaches, abundant natural resources, beautiful and friendly people ... |

Without a doubt, the Philippines...the Pearl of the Orient!
It's a tourist haven from north to south, from east to west. The beaches are to die for; the shopping is great; the hotels are world-class; the food is divine; the places of interest are varied and diverse (there's always something for everyone!) and the people are super-friendly and very hospitable.
English is widely understood and spoken in the Philippines. And the American dollar goes a long, long way there.
You must definitely visit the Philippines! |

I like my country best the Philippines, of course. I understand their language, they speak both Filipino and English, I understand their ways. I like the tourist places, the mountains and the beaches with fine white sands and black sands as well. And I love the fruits! Not too sweat, with a little sour taste. |

Only been to Hong Kong and Japan of those you mention but I love both.
I've heard so many great things about Thailand and will go there some day. Asia is my favourite continent. |

Been to most, with exception of Japan. Hope to right this one day.
Favourite, Thailand. So I do know what I can find in these places. |

I like them all except for Thailand, sorry. The greatest places in Asia (and in the world) for me are Tokyo and my birthplace Jakarta. |

Aside from home (proud to be from the Philippines!), I like Thailand. Haven't been to HK or Singapore or Japan yet--and of the three, Japan seems the most fascinating (the culture, the history and historical sites).
The Indochinese countries (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Burma/Myanmar) are pretty fascinating, too--I actually plan to go to Cambodia within the next year or two, upon a friend's recommendation. And I have a Filipino friend who grew up in Indonesia--after her stories, Indonesia is pretty high on my list as well. |

I like the Philippines best. It's the fusion between the East and the West. People speaks English and are very polite. Best of all, I like the sun and the sand.
I am Canadian and I approve this message. |
