i believe i am somebody, but if everybody is a nobody then i could be anybody.

I would rather be seen as a nobody by people I don't care about and somebody by my friends. By being "somebody" I only mean that they at least acknowledge me as a real, living and breathing person occupying some real space here on earth.

I can never be everybody to anyone. I have a distinct personality and a rather well defined set of values.

I could be the anybody that could fill in a volunteer requirement, as in "Can anybody help?" I could, in that instance be that Anybody.

I'd be SOMEBODY. Somebody didn't so it, because everybody didn't tell him anything about the important job. If Somebody was told by Everybody, I'm pretty sure Somebody will do the job. (^_^)

I am Somebody - not that I'm overly important - but only to the extent that I end up doing the job because I'm expected to, especially the dirty ones Nobody wants to touch.

And you're right, Somebody gets the blame if the job isn't done.
