i live in LA, and i was in London not tooo long ago.

I grew up in Britain and know many nice people there .
But I also know many ,many nice Americans

if one was to go by the yahoo participants and the general attitudes displayed ,one would come up with a false analysis .

Generally country people tend to be nicer and have more time for other people
any where in the world.

I live in the UK... and I can't say that most Britons are "nicer" than the Americans I know. Maybe better mannered, but English people are generally as snobby as the French.

It always depends on the person. I have not met too many British people so I can't compare. I'll say that Filipinos are the most hospitable I have ever encountered. I love the lifestyle in the Philippines.

I haven't met any British yet... some Americans though, too, are sometimes, others, are rude...

I love the accent of the British people though...

I've met some super nice people on both sides of the pond, and also some flaming j-holes too.

Depends on what region you're in too. LA Americans are a lot different from say, South Carolina Americans.

Nicer? Don't know.
Americans are friendlier. Brits are more fun once you got over their snooty facade. And their sense of humour are superb.
