Third of all, lots of people in China wants to learn English or polish their English skill, so maybe they want to speak English to you.,

I was in Shanghai for nearly two months last summer and I never had this "luck." Probably because I never went to the pubs or tried to be that dirty Westerner who likes to go to Thailand to visit prostitutes who were probably men transformed into women. Anyways, stay away from women who clash on to you like that. Go home to the land of America!

haha, funny answers, but true, most of them are behind the "rich" foreigner, however, I must point out some issues:

1 - There are two kind of girls, those in bars that speak english, will go to bed whith everyone, specially foreigners, just for the money or status. The other girls, the one not found in bars and speak only chinese, are the most, traditional to the point you cannot kiss them in the cheek or even shake hands with her.

2 - Besides what kind of girl, foreigners always will have advantage. From my experience (dont take it like presumming) they like big rounded eyes, better treatment, the gentleman part, the fact that you care of them while in bed (chinese just take seconds, after they finish that is it).

Finally, like many say here, be careful, don't confuse sex with love, you can have one girl every day, but only one in 30 maybe is not behind your money (based on Xiamen, adjust statistcs for Shanghai population hehe).

I'm Mexican living in China for 5 years, lived la vida loca the first 2 years, then married with a pretty Chinese girl... yes, after marriage they run the house :(, now I cannot even go out alone... thinking in move to Korea or Japan, haha.

there are several reasons. one, they think you have money. two, they think you will treat them beter than the chinese men will (often very true), three, they love the western look (think about it, most movies and most television shows shown around the world for many years were filled with western men) four, they like longer noses. five, they like hairy chests (my ex wife was chinese and she often commented on how nice and soft my chest hair was and was always complaining about the "whimpy" chinese boys who could not even grow chest hair).

But...be careful. chinese culture is matriarchal. That means, they rule the roost.

fact of the matter is ALL women are attracted to foreign men coz they find them different and exotic = it would be foolish to assume that they're going to ditch their own men for you if you happen to be a loser in the West (now don't take that personally).

I am Indian and met a few girls from Eastern Europe (Slovakia, Hungary, Romania) in my office assignment and trust me, they find "us" exotic compared to White guys and I really had a great time. I also have a good luck with Chinese, Korean and Thai ladies not coz I'm a God or something but foreigners appeal to the baser instincts of all women. They may not want to marry or have babies with them.

I'm yet to find an attractive Indian girl who would pay me attention coz of my average looks - but when it comes to foreigners - wow, it's a natural synergy and I seem to gravitate as well.

Be happy and enjoy your Chinese hospitality but remember one rule - always treat the girls with respect no matter where you go.
