Don't listen to idiots like bow who probably cant even afford the air fare to come to thailand,
Thailand as sunshine everyday, fabulous food fantastic nightlife, and a great culture, you can visit the busy city of bangkok, or go north to see the tobacco and rice farms, visit the fantastic temples, or ride the elephants, thailand as something for everyone, its called the land of a thousand smiles, because its people are so friendly, the average winter temperature is 80deg with low humidity. in the summer months its over 100 deg with humidity at 90 per cent,

Firstly because It's hot there when it's freezing cold here.. 2/ The lifestyle is sooo laid back.. 3/ The women are tops and not full of **** and vanity.. 4/ The clubs are cheap and open 24/7..5/ The food is cheap.. 6/ You can buy a motorbike for £600 and roam free.. 7/ I just love the place and would stay there if I could earn a decent living but wages are extremely poor so I usually go 3 times a year for 30 day visits and the only greedy business folk you'll meet in Thailand are... fellow Brits.

The cost of living is a lot less than the UK or USA. Property is cheaper. The locals are very friendly, the food is truly delicious.

The weather, the beautiful countryside (especially the Isaan region), the food and the women - not necessarily in that order! And it is surprisingly affordable, you can stay in nice 5-star hotels for about $100 a night. The 1,000 year old temples are cool to visit too. The beaches are nice, but I really prefer the Northeast.

some visit for the beauty, scenery, beaches & the culture.

the men i know visit purely for the people in the photo links from answerer Ron!! i know my hubby won't be allowed to go alone....lol!!

for a start, you will need to break down the demographics of the tourists who visit Thailand.

students will go for the cheap cost of travelling etc

young couples will go there for the sights and culture etc

Smelly pot bellied ******* (men) will go for the sex.

BENSON O
I love the food and the life style there beside my wife is there.

The people are really friendly. Even if it is because they need your tourist dollar they are still very polite and genuinely concerned for your well being.
The food is the best I have had in the world, its really fresh, healthy and very generous especially the seafood.
If you are going in off peak season between May and October every thing is even cheaper than it is normally. Shopping is great especially for pretty good quality rip of stuff like clothes, dvds & sunnies. They have all the mod cons to make life comfortable and easy and it was very clean everywhere I went.
It is also a very popular place for guys especially for those looking for some female or lady boy company whether for just a night or for a long term relationship with someone who is very caring and has more traditional values. Of coarse it's not always that simple in love and relationship and you do have to be careful some people are not always what they appear to be. That goes for the lady boys to. There are a lot of tragic looking cases of men dressed as women but there are also of coarse some genuinely lovely lady boys who are very feminine to the point ta ht you really could not tell. In fact so beautiful inside and out one who I was friends with was actually a top international swimwear model she was gorgeous smart and humble.
Finally but most appreciated are the massages really good and cheap too only a few dollars some people have one everyday.
Oh yeah and the other day I heard on the tv that phuket is the most popular tourist destination in the world at the moment.

I visit Thailand every year and sometimes twice a year.My next visit is in two weeks time and I cannot wait to see all those smiling faces, warm sunshine, wonderful tasty thai food and of course all the wonderful shopping which includes shoes, bags, jewellery etc; I have been doing this trip for over twenty-five years and my favourite place to stay is in Pattaya.Usually a three months stay and one week in Bangkok.Over the years I have visited many countries both on the continent and America and all over the far east and my favourite is Thailand because it really is 'The Land Of Smiles' and the people really make you feel welcome. You will fall in love with this place and the music and you will feel like you are living in Paradise.

That was just one night, two years ago, I'm pleased to say that I'm now happily married to an English lady.

Ps. As an ex medical rep. I can assure you they were all of the female gender.

PPs. I would also like to agree with all the other wonderfull things said about Thailand, but I was a recent lonely widower at the time, and I did visit many wonderfull temples and talked with many Buddhist monks.
