Why Filipinos think they are superior above everybody else on earth?

Because sometimes, Filipinos think that they are the most intelligent people in the world. Eventhough they are short in height, they are huge up there (brainy, I mean).

Every group of people thinks they are superior so I guess Filipinos are no different than any other people.

We are Filipinos, not French, so we dont think that way...

We are just happy and proud being what we are.

Being proud is different from thinking superior.

I agree that they do exist but I strongly believe that in every part of the world, in every nationality they exists too..

In short, they are everywhere so do not single out any kind of nationality for this kind of attitude (which I supposed no one will be proud of)

who ever gave you that idea? i have yet to meet a filipino who thinks like that.

but granting thats how you feel & to answer your question, maybe those filipinos that do think like that are nothing but the same kind of people you meet in every nation on earth who also thinks that they are the supreme race or something. meaning thats nothing unique to the philippines.

By posting this question you might have revealed your personal problem. Perhaps there is a Filipino/Filipina who thinks that way about you!!! I have never met any Filipino neither in the Philippines nor abroad who thought that way.

i don't think we, filipinos regard ourselves higher than any other race. we are indeed, a humble race (admittedly or not, that is).

we are living in a third world country. we know our limits. though we are better than others, we don't broadcast it. thus, we do our own thing away from the spotlight.

If were so superior, why are there more people poor and unemployed doing nothing in the Philippines ? Also why is that most people are living below the poverty line ? I'm proud but I'm also ashamed were doing nothing.

Superior? Maybe some think that way especially in terms of talent and beauty. But most do not think they are superior.

Okay... just based on my personal experiences... but doesn't EVERY race strut around and act like they're "superior" to every other race on this planet? (at least to SOME degree?)

It's national or racial pride, I suppose... fairly harmless unless it's taken too far (or too seriously).

I dont think you can generalize things like that. But in all groups you find a few who are so. Most of the time people who are so are suffering from inferiority complex. They find that others are better than them in many ways so they want to feel good by thinking that they are a part of a better group. If you look at the most ardent members of racist groups you will discover that they are hopless misfits.

Sometimes its just a warped up inferiority complex.

Filipinos were once famous. But because of Marcos' corruption, the world nearly forgot about our great economical/political status. Now, Pinoys are being very "siga". S**** all those who are pa-siga. }:-(
