Jollibee is very effective with their strategy. I am not a jollibee person though my kids are. But I really admire the minds of the people that make the strategy. Making the food to suit the filipino tastes, attracting the children and giving the convinience, making children happy makes the parents happy. Kudos to the minds behind jollibee.

Jollibee is not only for kids, adults also like the product. My wife and I always make a 'bee line' for Jollibee whenever we are able to visit the Philippines.
The food that is served up is a lot more tastier than McDo and a lot more enjoyable.

Well, that's a yes and a no. Some people really like Jollibee, Filipinos, like myself. That's why most Fiipinos eat there.Jollibee is a filipino version of Mcdonald's. So its really similar. Hope I helped! Toodles!

I guess it's because the main target audience of both Jollibee and McDo ever since are kids. And besides, with Jollibee's menu, or the whole of it, I don't think adults would appreciate them more than the kids. It's practical for parents too. They can buy their kids foods and toys for a cheap price and let them enjoy themselves at playground area. Parents will go home without their pckets hurt, and their kids happy.

For me, its alternating jollibee and mcdo.

they all have their marketing strategy,high calibre managers, but why only the company with 9 excel than those with no 9 in them?

with the attraction for children, jollibee mascot is more acceptable than the mcdo clown, even if they get used to it.

So, what will happen if you will bring your child to an adult store and buy him an adult toy?

Jollibee is popular because you can get inexpensive food and a place for your children to play. Like Rian said it is like a McDonald's for Americans. The food might not be healthy but they serve happy meals and have Ronald McDonald and an indoor playground. Children want to go there and have fun, and parents go there too. Besides where else in the world can you find pansit with ketchup?

jollibee was not made for the children per se.. it was a fastfood restaurant made to suit the tastes of the Filipinos.. the attracting of the kids came later on.....

i believe theit marketing strategy has evolved over the years.. remember "langhap sarap" tag line they had.. this was what differentiated Jollibee from the other fast food chains.. they revolutionized the idea that we Pinoys dont just consider how he food tasted but how good it smells... anything that smells nice would translate (if not most of the time) to something that tastes good...

nowadays, Jollibees marketing strategy has changed... its idea now focuses on a child who is "laking Jollibee" or translated to I grew up with this product

Jollibee's prime market is children, parents (and adults) come secondary.

There are branches of Jollibee that do not offer toys or have playgrounds such as in Ortigas or Ayala Avenue, but it is still frequented by adults.

Q1: Because it is easy to attract kids--just offer a simple toy or a chance to play. Its a marketing thing. They attract the kids...so the adults follow. It make sense actually.

Q2: I disagree. My daughter loves the toys plus their Spaghetti. Very Filipino taste---sweet. Of course, my preference is another matter.

Q3: I disagree, too. I think the kids will still go to a store if they like the food --- but, the frequency may be lesser. This, I think applies to all the fast food chains --- they know their market.

Hey, I like Jollibee food even if they're main target demographic are children.
And what's wrong with aiming at potential consumers aged 12 and below, and make big bucks with it.
FYI, kids love the food like crazy, not just the toys.

because phil. fastfoods suck and jolibee manages to rise above the grbge heap.

i remember i used to eat at mcdo in escolta area, it was very clean and smelled clean and food was very good. something you wouldnt mind paying for.

now, every fastfood just suck. everything is dirty, the tables, the floor, the kitchen if you bother to look, service is very bad, plus serving gets smaller and badder in taste.

specially at near closing time, they will actually serve you cold food, once i ordered sundae at jolibee and they served the cup half-full. why bother complain, they just suck and they dont care. customer service is a myth in phil fastfood.

never really liked jollibee. di masarap food nila. kfc o mcdo nalang atleast masarap tlga. plus their service isn't good (jollibee asturias). sorry po hah. pero lahat kaming magkakaklase nag refuse na sa jollibee kase nabadtrip sa service tska di ganun kasarap ung food.
