Nothing is free from the Government ! SINGAPORE Government is big boss ! make money from people ! look at there medical fee from Gov. hospital/clinic , and compare to Malaysia ? Singapore can rise any price any times, like Bus fare , oil price , but when Malaysia rise oil prices early this year, BN nearly lose evert things !! people make big noise on KL street , but not Singapore. The countries is rich, the people may not comfortable than Malaysian ! if Malaysia following that Business way like Singapore, will be rich too, but our people will be poor. Do any once which to paid that kind of oil prices, medical and other fee like Singapore ? Malaysia hospital max pre day RM 6.00 all in. Singapore lower bead as SGD 60 + pre day and other cost is SGD 100 a day .Bus fare Min from one to 5 Stop is SGD 1.00 / Cooking oil , 1 L from 3.80 SGD . Car prices , import Tax is total 150 % , and you need to paid COE from around 30,000 SGD for ten years. A 1.6 proton on the road is about SGD 56,000 SGD now ! BMW 320 is cost SGD 120,000.00// Do you accept Malaysia Gov. do so ? 150 % tax for car ? if not ..cannot be rich. Ha Ha Singapore paid only 3 cent for water 1000L to malaysia , after "clean " it and sold to people for 60 cents, very easy to be rich, right ?

Not only there is transparency and good governance in Singapore, their people give their utmost best and thus they perform better than us Malaysian ... Read the followings: -

A Singaporean man walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan
officer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to China on business

multi-millionaire. What puzzles us is why you would bother to borrow
$5,000? The Singaporean man replies: 'Where else in New York City can I park my
car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there safely when I
return.'

In Malaysia, the politicians squeeze the country dry to fill their own coffers. Some racists play up sensitive issues to create animosity among the ordinary people. So it is no wonder the country will never prosper and will become more and more backward.

They have an important resource which they develop well. The people. And where the people is not good enough, they are open enough to import them.

Look around you for the answers. Look at some of the African countries. Take Zimbabwe as a good example, the Government is so corrupt that their currency is worth just like paper.

So the answer to your question is, Singapore has a clean, transparent, honest and dedicated people on top to run the country,

People with brain putting self interest aside and not having deep pockets.

here's a few reasons i can think of...
* spore is smaller and easier to manage with law abiding citizens..
* low corruption.. if compared to malaysia
* strategic location as ports for cargo ships, tanker ships etc
[thus better biz?]
* not much hospital & medical subsidy compared to malaysia
* more foreign students studying in spore + they have to pay a certain fee to government
* charges $ 20 a day for foreign plate car to enter spore
* charges $ 4 a day for foreign plate motor bike to enter spore
[in fact there are thousands of bikes enter spore everyday!! ]

hm..looking at the number of singapore vehicles making malaysian road jammed [especially during public holidays], if malaysian government charges them RM50 for a car per day & RM 10 for motorbike per day ..
imagine how much money malaysia government will get..

Itâ€™s the law of physics. Sâ€™pore is taik cicak in size as compared to Malaysia therefore their segregation of income and maintenance of the country is lower.

Sâ€™pore is just rich in terms of monetary terms and in 30 years down the line, their money resources will gradually deplete. This explains why they start sourcing and robbing from Malaysiaâ€™s land.

And stealing Batu Putih also explains their expertise in stealing.
