Yakuza are men...."Oriental" is now considered a racist term.One would say "Asian". Not everything in is Japan cute. If you lived there you would understand. Not all Asian women are cute. Just like any other group, some are, some aren't...

"Oriental" isn't the accepted term anymore, so I think you should rethink using that term.

And not everything and everyone in Japan is cute. Japan is just like everywhere else -- there's lots of variety. Stop generalizing.

Oriental. Do you know that's a rather rude term. Objects can be described as 'oriental', not people.

The yakuza are not cute. Violence and intimidation and exploitation and slavery are not cute.

The girls are act and look "cute" because that is what Japanese guys like. It's the same in other countries as well.
For example, in North America, guys like "sexy" so mass media advertising and most girls try to act "sexy" to get guys to like them.
They dress sexy, speak sexy and move sexy.

But in Japan, guys like "cute". So most girls and even grown women in their 30s, 40s or 50s, speak in baby talk to sound cute. They move their heads bodies like a little a little girl to look "cute". Etc.

So this is a part of social culture and has been getting more so for the past 30 years. Men want cute so women give men cute. It all works out.

But as for being a North American in Japan, it is a little much to hear baby talk everywhere. North American girls try to act older and more mature and the opposite is true in Japan.

because they know better makeup techniques then Americans. Seriously. Trust me a lot of them wear fake eyelashes, extensions, etc. etc.

But alot of them are just plain beautiful! i agree.

It's all down to personal preference.
They do nothing for me, though can appreciate why some men find them attractive.

because japanese are cute. not like a fat american people.
but yakuza is not cute. they just scary.

Masako..listen up mate you'll be in for a surprise...I lived there in the early 00's and there were a good proportion of larger ladies, not all cute.Just as many cuties as un-cuties in every country, men and women. I work in China now, and again, their physiology and traditional diet tends to produce petite females, (as a general rule), but that's all changing, off the top of my head 3/10 of my students would class as obese, I teach in a primary school.
Don't generalise..
'Oriental' girls might not being referred to in that way, try using their actual nationalities or at least stick to 'Asia' as not to alienate Malaysians, Vietnamese, Singaporean etcetcetc

It's their culture. Some of it is overboard though and was influenced by western society to subdue them.

That's just a theory though...

Oh, and I wouldn't say that the yakuza is cute at all.
