Seriously, why is it a big deal that women do that now? If a woman made the first move, does it make you any less macho? But, if you're talking about Filipinas, I figure it has a lot to do with the Westernization of the Philippines. If you're asking about women in general, successes in feminist movements, TV, movies, and other media that depict the strong woman to be sexy are culprits, but not entirely. Education has also empowered women everywhere. I think some women just have a hard time negotiating the line between "strong and liberalized" and "just plain slutty". The line, after all, is very much dependent on the taste of those around her.
There are still a number of Maria Claras around, but I think a little more spunk is more interesting. |

There's a theory that all the hormones that they give cows and chickens that get absorbed into things we eat like steak and milk and things like that have affected our sex drives in the past 50 years. This is why girls are going through puberty a lot sooner than they used to 10 years ago.
It's just a theory.
I personally think the media's messed up our heads. especially for celebrities like paris hilton,britney spears and the likes that makes it an in thing to do nowadays. |

Because they want to experience a lot things (what guys want/are doing too) before they settle down. In a few cases, some women are not thinking about themselves, their future, they just want to do anything they want to do without thinking. some are just copying what they see on TV, they think it is applicable wherever they are. Lastly, most of them maybe just want to have sex because nowadays virginity is not a requirement to marry someone. |

How many is your "lots"? Maybe in the vicinity/locality where you frequently visit, women do; but where I am, never heard of girls making the first move.
In my opinion, girls that make the first move are desperate..Pretty girls/women never ran out of admirers, hence never has to plead for dates or male company. |
