Some Filipinos are living up to their TALANGKA MENTALITY(crab mentality). Others are simply too narrow-minded or even bigots to their own beliefs. |

I personally like getting more thumbs.
Once I get about ten of them, I make a necklace out of them. |

Well, there are some who are trigger happy and that is OK. Personally, I careless if I get a thumb down or up and I don't even care if they had a third middle finger either, to me its irrelevant as long as I gave that question my best answer. Its so sad that some people take Yap personally but who cares.
Just answer a question and give it your best shot and do not worry about. |

It's not just in the Philippines but everywhere. If people don't agree with your answer then they vote against yours. Fortunately, it doesn't cause you to lose points. |

Just a guess...
* Some people have a vendetta..... a personal dislike for the individual or his ideology
* Some people labor under the delusion the "thumbs down' impacts the "best answer" competition
I have several "fans" who routinely click on my answers and put a thumbs down.....they seem to think it bothers me.... or that it will adversely impact my standing on YA..... I actually like it......It means while they are playing their childish games with me......they are leaving the rest of you alone
You see I am here to "learn"......make friends.......express an opinion......and help others..... I could care less about the ratings or thumbs.....
The pinoy culture is very special......one of its attributes is a tendency to protect it's own..... |

its because what do you think rational doesnt looked like rational with others, its a clash of beliefs, even if the answer is blatantly reasonable, it will still possibly looked like unreasonable to others because we all have different type of mind programmings. some take it personal and some just do it for fun since giving thumbs down is free.
its just simply because the world is not fair |

Look at it this way, thumbsdown is an indication that your answer was read and an understood. It does not matter if your answer was good or not. Some people have a different perception.
Please don't let that bother you. Yappers perform many tactics and schemes to burst your bubble if they think you have a bubble to pop.
Fun and games. |

I have read about thumbs downs and how people react to it. I guess I should also ignore these. Maybe you should, too. The more questions there are on this subject, the happier the maniacs are, because they like the idea of people being affected by it. So come on now, thumbs downs welcome! |

yahoo gave them that power and you signed up to that possibility when you started answering, if you don't agree with it, complain to yahoo. |

It's hard to get into the mind of a trigger happy TD bandit or whatever you want to call them.
And unless they share it out in the open, we probably wouldn't know as I believe it just depends on the individual person doing the Thumbing Down.
But some general ideas are:
1. That they do not agree with the PERSON answering as opposed to the answer perse.
2. They feel good about doing stuff like that & remaining anonymous if not infamously anonymous, you know like living up to the name you used--a masked bandit.
3. Or there is a hidden agenda or a higher purpose to a seemingly harmless if not childish attack.
4. Or who knows, until they speak up. |

Curiosity kills you know. If you don't want trolls to get back at you, you should better leave them alone in their dirty and smelly habitat.
Added:
The last time I checked I have zero TDs...that was a minute ago. Certainly, someone or SOMETHING is behind this "wanna go fight in the mud" drama.
Added:
How could they treat a sickly fellow like this? Just so you know, I just got home from the hospital last week! I deserve some loving and cuddling here! It's not a request! It's a command!
